Lo es. Para el público general fue un poco bajo perfil y por eso no hay mucho material que se encuentre (literalmente la mayoría lo pude condensar en este video jfkdjf aunque hubo uno que otro momento que se me pasó), pero aún quedaban restos de la Thriller manía. También sabemos ahora que Michael iniciaría una fase muy creativa por la creación de (lo que sería) Bad. El hecho de que ya se trabajaran temas como Chicago 1945 o la misma Loving You es prueba de eso.

Se me hace muy interesante esta época de MJ, luego del auge que tuvo entre 1983 a 1984 con lo de Thriller y el Victory Tour era necesario un descanso del ojo público aunque también es en esta época (1985-1986) donde se le empiezan a inventar cosas sobre su vida personal, su cambio de apariencia física y demás, como que se le perdió esa impresión cool que tuvo en Thriller para pasar a ser objeto de la prensa amarillista.

Aunque no lo parezca, el cambio en su apariencia ya era un tema de conversación durante el Victory Tour. Especialmente porque cosas como su nariz y demás ya eran muy aparentes. Sin embargo, fue en esta época cuando su tono (supongo que debido al maquillaje que usaba) se estaba volviendo considerablemente más claro y se veía más cercano a su look de 1987 que como se veía en 1983. Eso provocó que la prensa se volviera más morbosa con ese tema. Con las historias inventadas, se podría decir que algunos errores de relaciones públicas fueron hechos durante esta época. El equipo de Michael estaba alimentando algunas historias a los tabloides y luego se volvió incontrolable porque dio cobertura a más historias que llegaban de ese estilo con múltiples fuentes. Es una pena. También hay que tomar en cuenta que la música estaba cambiando. El rock alternativo y el Hip Hop estaban entrando a la escena y los gustos de los jóvenes estaban yendo para otros lados. Aún así es sorprendente que el estrellato de Michael haya durado tanto incluso sin ver tanto al futuro con Bad, el cual es un álbum que más que sentar bases, estaba muy enamorado de la producción ochentera.

I wouldn't say they killed it, but it's a different vibe entirely. This song is much more romantic and, sappy, than the 20/20 Experience ambiance timbaland instills.

That remix doesn't feel anywhere near the original. I hated most of the songs in that album they dropped, especially this song. Listening to the original now I realise they just freaking didn't get Michael's inspiration right. This version, while it's a demo, sounds a lot more soulful@@Mister_Jay_Tee

I believe this song was made during the mid 80s so that's why i chose it (you can also still hear some of his "Thriller voice" here) to portray Michael's life in that particular moment. If i chose the remix, it would've felt just wrong lol.

Efectivamente Captain EO salió en el verano de 1986, pero se sabe que la filmación empezó en julio de 1985. También puedes encontrar en KZbin un primer corte del cortometraje con fecha de 25/09/1985, donde la mayoría de escenas de MJ que aparecieron en el corte final ya estaban ahí.
