Yep. After successfully completing his Bad World Tour, Michael himself, stated that he didn't want to tour ever again because of the rigorous strain it caused his body from scheduled rehearsals, traveling, to jetlag, hours of performances, and his adrenaline levels being through the roof. No wonder he was ready to retire at 30. He even mentioned how he wanted to transition to filmmaking.

I think this was the peak of his career, and he seemed happy, healthy and confident. All MJ wanted was to make the world a better place and I don't think he would've ever done inappropriate stuff with boys. We need more people like him in the world. And he looked the best at this time too. Of course this was 4 months before I was born >_> so I obviously have zero memory of when Bad was new. lol
@mps6380
@mps6380 9 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he definitely dominated the entire 80s. I mean to be honest, Thriller was the start of "Michael Jackson" as we know it. You know, the best selling album of all time definitely was the first peak of his career. And Bad came out and got him to an even higher place. By the time Dangerous came out, Michael was the most well known and praised artist. And when HIStory was out, he was just as loved and caused as much as excitement as he did in his Thriller prime. Then the completely false allegations were pursued for the sole purpose of money (court evidence) and it went down from there. Even though he was proven to be nothing but innocent in a court based on FACTS, the ignorant public went with the media's side, and it's funny because once the media found of his innocence, they just dropped the whole topic. Those trials really damaged him as a person, let alone his image. I remember someone saying he had to do a whole show with the world thinking he was a child molester. Imagine that. We know for a FACT that if those greedy vultures hadn't surrounded Michael, he wouldn't have faced charges, and ultimately would have been able to give us so..so much more. He would've been so much more happier and avoided such depression states all together, which included dependence on pills to take away the tremendous amount of pain he went through. Can you imagine? It just could've been. Everyone treated such a great man like shit, until his death of course. And it's shameful on our parts, because someone so mastered and great like Michael will never, ever come again. People like Michael are very rare, and should be nothing but cherished. But the public surely weren't used to someone who thought so differently, so richly of simple things, so fascinated by the simple aspects to life, so willing to help anyone in need, so wondrous of magic..escapism, which automatically classified him as "weird". That shows the shallow and judgmental minds of society, and that is our wrong.. not Michael's. A quote that pretty much sums all of this up well : "Yes he had a complicated life, but that's the price paid when you reach the height of fame he was at. He was, and is, one of the greatest of the greats. If you really dug into his story, it wouldn't be hard to understand many of his choices he made or his attempts to cope with being the most famous human being on the planet. The real tragedy is that the U.S., in particular, was completely unable to deal with a human being so creatively, brilliantly, and awesomely unique. It was never Michael. It was the world, and that's the shameful part of it all." - Mark Bentley

Stephen R I absolutely agree. The world needs more people like Michael. Whenever someone makes a crack at him being a pedo I just wanna punch them in the face. I hate it. He would never hurt any child like that. Those trials really killed him - his spirit anyway - I was in tears when I heard he had died. I couldn't stop crying. - I was born towards the end of '90 in October so... my era of Michael was pretty much Dangerous. -

Michael and Eddie are wearing the same suit Michael's just looks better because he Michael-fied it!!! Man did that man know how to dress he could make the strangest things match and he always looked hot and gorgeous as hell in everything he wore. I love how Michael and Eddie always teased each other it was cute. Eddie would always try to fluster Michael up and make him giggle...lol. There will never be another Michael Jackson and I know his legacy will last for generations to come.

It actually made total sense for Michael to ask Eddie to help him with the mic stand since he only had 1 hand free while holding the award. You think if michael could possibly do it himself with one hand, he wouldn't have? Michael has been adjusting mic stands since he could walk. But Eddie is so funny he knew he could use that for a laugh.

THE 80s AND 90s WERE THE BEST DECADES IN HISTORY......... If you didn't live in the 80s and 90s or were too young to remember, you wont understand. It's nothing like how people say, they miss they 50s, 60s, and 70s.. The 80s and 90s had so much star power that it stands unmatched till this day. The music, tv show, movies, wrestling, and pro-sports were all stacked with the best of the best. Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, and Michael Jordan were the 3 kings that ruled the world. Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan were exploding into a worldwide power house, Hip-Hop was becoming everyone's favorite thing to listen to, video game controllers were in our hands for the first time, Michael Myers, Freddy , and Jason showed us what the Slasher Genre was, the internet was just hitting the scene, everyone made it home in time to watch T.G.I.F. and Americas Funniest Home Videos, and the thing I miss the most is how we all loved our country and were proud to be Americans.. Whether you were Black, White, Puerto Rican, or Asian, you loved being here.. People actually talked in person, we'd hangout on corners, Basketball courts were packed, and kid's played on the street. Everything that happened in those 2 decades set the groundwork for what the world would be like in the future.. Today, you play video games that our generation gave you, your kid's watch WWE, you hear your favorite boxers say how they wanna be like Tyson, you hear your favorite artist from all over the world talk about how much they love and miss Michael Jackson, and 90% of you who are reading this have a pair of Jordan's in your closet. I think It's safe to say that those are the real golden years in American history and I miss them more than anything.

I'm 84 born and experienced the 90s. Agree with you though I feel it's technology that destroyed society. Even till 2005 I would say things were alright. Then with fast, instant broadband, social media and streaming all things went to crap.
