This is definitely a thing in Hollywood. The Rock and Vin Diesel had a contractual dispute in one of the F&F movies about the number of punches landed on each other's character. That’s assuming he’s the star of the Movie - you can be the bigger guy and get your ass licked by the smaller guy ( both in real life and film) this is why he isn’t a Director and only has a hand full of decent movies - The protagonist can be any size - it’s all about the writing and choreography- I get what he’s saying but he’s only looking at one angle - as he said he wants to go against bigger guys - because it looks good to him - isn’t that what it would mean for snipes? At the end of the day snipes is way bigger anyway - these guys for too many egos - a film between the two would be good if writing/directed right

I will say this, while I get his point about "looking like a bully", that would only apply if he was the "star" of the movie...that said, he contradicts himself bcuz In Falcon Rising, he fought Lateef Crowder and another Asian actor, both of whom were far shorter AND smaller than him and Mike was the star of that movie. I think it's more of a thing where he considers Wesley as a big brother and doesn't want to win (or lose) a fight against Wesley onscreen, but that's just my assumption...I do NOT think it's really a size thing though...Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais are way smaller than him AND Wesley, and he did fight scenes with them, and he stated in another video that he wants to do one with Donnie Yen who is just as small as Tony, so......

On the contrary Wesley came off good against Stallone in Demolition Man and Ving Rhames in Undisputed. He was smaller than both of them of course. I get what he saying. It only applies when he's the star though... if it's Wesley movie, Michael as the villain WOULD be perfect though because Wesley could get all his shyt off on him lol and look great since he's bigger lol.

MJW be capping did all them fight scenes with shorter guys. Undisputed II Scott Adkins 5'8/5'9, Tony Jaa, Lateef Crowder, Ukia Uwiaos, JCVD and more. Thing is Wesley is far more skilled than him. Would steal that fight scene from him like he did JCVD in Universal Soldier sequel. My man has an ego. He can't do that big man walk up and gradually checking all his shots easily. Snipes will move on him and make him look silly on film. He trying to avoid that lol. But, wants to do fight scenes with Donnie Yen ? Who's shorter than Snipes stop the cap

So let me get this straight lol: Because Wesley is not a bigger guy, MJW wouldn’t wanna do a fight scene with him because it wouldn’t look very good on screen? Ummm, if i recall Bruce Lee fought 7’2 Kareem in game of death and Bruce was 5’8 and that scene til this day is one of the most memorable moments in martial arts film history so I’m not quite following what jai is saying here. Just get it on it’s what the fans want too see!
@danieltaylor33982 жыл бұрын
You are making his point, that looked good for Bruce Lee because he was beating a way bigger guy. Mikes point is westley would be the smaller guy in the fight so it wouldn’t be a good look for MJW to be beating up a smaller Snipes. Although I disagree in the sense that it’s Westley Snipes who is a star in his own right so people wouldn’t look at the height difference
@mikefit33432 жыл бұрын
@@danieltaylor3398 Put height and size aside just for a moment , and think about who Wesley snipes is. he’s a fifth dan black belt in Shotokan Karate! a third dan black belt in taekwondo and second degree black belt in Hapkido ontop he knows kung fu. A guy with his stats? would put on a great performance against MJW and jai is a specialist in own right michael is only 6’0-6-1 maybe Wesley is 5’9 that’s not a major height difference.
@SparksBY19922 жыл бұрын
@@mikefit3343 Wesley is 5,9. And your right not a major difference at all. He fought Marrese crump in welcom to sudden death and he is the same height as Wesley.
@mikefit33432 жыл бұрын
@@SparksBY1992 Take a kickboxer like Jason Statham and throw him into the mix: He’s 5’8 so he’s an inch shorter than Wesley and about 5inches shorter than MJW. He has a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu he is professionally- trained in wing chun kung-fu, karate and does all of his own stunts. You’ve seen his films Jason is an absolute badass! so is it only right that Jason should square up with another martial artist like Wesley because they’re similar in height? I mean if we’re talking just movies here Jason held his own against the rock in F7, F8 and Hobbs & Shaw films and the rock is 6’4 taller and bigger🤷🏽♂️ ( The fight scenes worked)👍 it wasn’t so much a mix match because Jason is a real martial artist who I believe could actually kick the rocks ass off script.
