--------
In this clip, Michael Jai White reacts to a new study that shows Hollywood loses $10 billion per year due to lack of diversity. While he hasn't read the study, Michael said he's interested to read more due to his experiences in Hollywood. He went on to speak about actors of all races being pigeonholed, and Michael pointed to some of his biggest roles not being strictly for a Black actor. To hear more, including how he plays a father to a white child in his upcoming movie, hit the above clip.

First off, when I saw I had comments saying the dumbass shit y’all was saying, like “Tell me something I don’t know!”, etc. The first thing that popped in my head, and it did so IMMEDIATELY, was these comments better not be on my post about the TMNT movie! Because y’all know damn well that ATLEAST 75% of people that have actually seen the movie didn’t know Michael Jai White was in it!! Kevin Nash MAYBE!! Considering the fact that Kevin Nash aka Big Sexy was a full blown house hold name at one point but almost nobody knew about Michael Jai White!!!! Shit I wouldn’t be surprised if y’all ain’t know that shit and just saying y’all do! But regardless, even if y’all knew that already, this comment OBVIOUSLY wasn’t for y’all then! Here I am t try naw be nice and tell Folks some stuff that they would obviously appreciate knowing! Because if they are here then they Obviously fuck with MJW and if they old enough to of Watched the original TMNT movie, then they would think it’s cool af that he was an extra in the movie. Moral of the story: Stop being know it all dickheads? Yeah, that would work for sure!

Oh that's very true. Black Americans, spending power wise, are ranked 12th in world economies. Most than a lot of countries and it's been that way for decades. Basically if Black people aren't paying attention to your products you will take a hit. A big one. People better recognize. King talked about it in his 'I've Been To The Mountaintop" speech. The part America doesn't want its citizens to hear.

I mean not making 10b a year from lack of “black representation” is different than losing 10b a year. Glad loved looking like he’s shedding light on problems within the black community lol. Black movies or black casted movies are great most of the time but the fact is they don’t bring in the money they should. If they did trust me there would be a ton of them made every year. People in Hollywood will do anything as long as it’s bringing in a ton of money

@@nmonye01 I agree. People go to see them so they have to bring in money. What I’m saying is if they were bringing in 10b a year or some ridiculous amount of money I think we would see more. I just don’t think that they bring in as much as other hit movies just for the fact that the majority of white people who would go to see the avengers or a Tarantino movie or any big movie with a star studded cast won’t go to watch an all black casted movie. That’s just the way it is

This is where you are wrong. You will need to understand the power of movies and the influence it has on people worldwide. There has been many black movies made for a very reasonable budget that did very well and Hollywood dropped the ball and not followup with a sequel or create something similiar. There are powerful people in Hollywood who would rather take a loss than to do too many movies with black leads. Imagine if the world starts to see more black leads as powerful like the Black Panther.

about 90 to 95% of the highest grossing movies of all time, are science fiction based, or fantasy...because anyone and everyone can be in them. It doesn't matter if you're Black or not. As it was said in Concrete Park "For Black People, The Past Is Painful, The Present Precarious, But The Future Is Free."

Hollyweird also is bankrupting its self. Their LACK of creativity & these “remakes” of films that men were the leads & “remade” them with woman.

Recreate the blaxploitation genre. Just make it more modern and hood, but with a higher budget than the trap flix movies

No. No more 'hood' movies. Make an African American fantasy movies and TV Shows. Make an African version or a Black Panther version of Africa. That would be more interesting.

I don't know how accurate that figure is but I can see it being at least half a billion. If every ethnic group had more representation then the movie industry would make way more money. People get sick of watching white movies, we need more Black, Hispanic, and Latino movies

Movie had good fight scenes but the acting/story outside of a couple actors wasn't the greatest. That is the reason it was a direct to dvd movie. It has it's place as a popcorn action movie where you turn off your brain.

The only reason this man rarely got work in Hollywierd is because he TOO MASCULINE. Notice when he got his role in a Tyler Perry movie is masculinity was challenged and he was made to look weak to a woman despite being near physical peakness in 2007 and 2010 (Between Blood and Bone and Black Dynamite), then he got the role in “Why did I get married” the TV show and all his Size and chiseled frame got flabby smh.... This is my dude but.. this is what the agenda of the Feminist Movement wanted to accomplish. The fear- spread. Label the men as toxic due to the strength and abilities of men being grandfathered in while the Women are low key the Toxic spreading ones.
