Vlad is that guy that asks people, "What is the most important thing you do that helps you be successful, everyday?" They inevitably answer, "exercise, spending time with my significant other, eating breakfast with my kids/wards, etc..." Then a follow-up could be, "No. I mean what apps do you find the most useful to help you become successful?" Success/happiness isn't purchased or utilized. It's simply the understanding of where you came from, where you are, where you want to go and what's motivating you to get there. If all of those reasons are what make you happy, then you'll be happy. If not, and it's for anything other than because *you want to* then you'll be miserable, always looking for something to fill that void.

@agonleed38413 жыл бұрын
True. Ut what you do to get the money us stressful as well. Even a well to do family. We see it all the time in real news, in real families that broke apart and in movies that portray it. if they're always busy and spending less time, they are t that happy. Kids are spoiled and all, but rarely have valuable time. Meanwhile I really JUST got out of debt. Have a boat and motorcycle in the yard that I barely use cause honestly I got it with tax money cause I wanted it..but it took over 8yrs just to get. All used though. As well as my 99 truck, that music my 3rd truck, and when itbreaks, I'm going to get another 99 truck cause they are reliable enough and I can pay it off at one time rather than put myself in a payment plan that still requires insurance and mechanical fixes. I can live within my means. Sure there's a bit of stress about kids days, my wife's bday Christmas, curriculum extra, new clothes etc and bills but I'm happier because I also ONLY have to worry about that. And not my business breaking down. Owing MORE in taxes. And honestly I can see the value of being with family enjoying the resl moments rather than fabricating moments because I have the money for extravagant trips a d such. My wife's family is in a bracket higher. Her sisters are all in the late teens. They rarely spend ANY time together. They are forced to play certain sports because it looks good. Forced to think about which colleges they'll go to. Not get to choose. The parents too busy to help in school work. STRUGGLING to be in advanced classes, they are intelligent but have to do it alone if we, my wife and I dont help. They've begged us to live with us. Cause while we cant take trips to spain once a year or to the mountains every 4mths in the level they do, we spend so much valuable time together as a family. We're the ones who help them with school. Our own kid is in middle school taking advanced classes and its breeze cause he has parents home to review the work with him. And we dont babysit...we challenge him to do it on his own because we won't always be around. Less stress and more valuable time. He doesn't get to wear all the latest fashions. We simply traded one thing for another. We cant have it all, so we sacrifice some of the lesser things. And that's something you learn when you grow up like me, who ven have as much as that. I grew up when Walmart and blockbuster was the go to for teens. That was the mall for us. I couldn't join sports because equipment plus had plus screening tests were all too much.

Money can’t buy you respect, confidence, inner-peace, empathy and most importantly happiness. Nothing last forever and you can’t take your money and your accomplishments with you when you go. You can be poor and have a life’s journey richer than the wealthiest people alive. I’ve been fortunate enough to know people that if you took away their tangibles, they’d still be awesome and inspiring no matter how poor they are in comparison to the average person.

I think this is why my mentality compared to other people is so different. I've seen real poverty after I deployed to Haiti right after the earthquake in 2010. What they were experiencing was almost 10x worser them what people claim over here. Even without the earthquake they were worser off. Yet everyone had a smile on their face and appreciated life way more then we do.

Values are worth more than Valuables. Money makes you happy insofar as you are no longer stressed. But you can be unhappy and not stressed. And happiness is very subjective it really doesn't have a price.
@bobbythespaceghost99343 жыл бұрын
Character vs. Characteristics. Money gives you access to things. It's a tool when used to benefit the person with the money, but it's not the foundation of your happiness. If you're a drug addict and don't want to kick the habit, you're still going to be a drug addict with a lot of money. Happiness and a peace of mind is priceless. Money helps pay bills, but after you pay your bills, then what? You're going to spend MORE MONEY to make yourself happy. You can argue that money used correctly gives a peace of mind due to how the world is set up, but there are a lot of folks who don't have a lot of money who are very happy and at peace people. Most people want the finer things in life that money gives them access to, but I do believe Vlad's definition of happiness is subjective. My mother was living paycheck to paycheck, but her budgeting and money management game was superior, and I didn't feel the "lower financial class" energy when I was younger. A person who knows how to make the most beneficial decisions about their money won't worry about figuring out how to pay bills or get their loved ones a present. So essentially, an individual decides their happiness. It starts between their two ears.
@kmck10083 жыл бұрын
Exactly that man. It's not the money it's what you do with it. When you look at alot of trainwreck celebrities for example it's usually not money that's the issue. It's the stress and pursuit of fame. The trolls, the hate, the obligations, all that shit that makes people unhappy. The moneys the only good part .

Money is definitely one of the factors for happiness. Not the only factor though. And happiness isn't constant. Even if you have lot of money, you could still be depressed. Just look at all the celebrity suicides.
There are scientific studies on happiness and money. Of course if we're talking poverty, money matters. But once u hit upper middle class. Any additional money doesn't make u happier. It's called diminishing value. When I have 0 rolexes, getting 1 rolex means a lot. If I have 1000 rolexes, getting another 1 means very little.

It's possible to have alotta money and be happy as well as not have alotta money and still be happy, as well as not be happy within both situations. It all boils down to possibility of having hope on whether or not the next step you take you can see the figurative sunrise at that very moment which can sometimes be blinded by the things you have or the things you don't. Until you ask yourself the question, are you happy, in any of both situations rich or poor, then you'll realize if in both situations the things you really desire give you hope because only hope gives you a desire to see another day.
