The first half of the original spawn movie was probably the best comic book movie I've ever seen. The last half bored me to death. The back story the training should have been more in depth. The old mans back story should have been more talked about as well. The Occult stuff more prevalent, him being taught more about that. To give a better understanding of the Satanic underworld. Michael Jai White was perfect. Maybe my only critique would be to be more furious not just angry(think HBO punisher). John leguizamo was as well. I didn't mind Martin Sheen. But I didnt care about his best friends story. It should have been more focused on the fight with Satan and Leguizamo. He should have got his revenge on Sheen quickly then went into the battle with Satan.

I sensed that a bit. I think he's internally beefing some about Foxx being recast in his original role. It's possible MJW was less than hype on the concept Todd pitched and Todd saw caught that. They both have points but Todd could direct a film if he studies for sec and hires awesome producers & crew to execute his vision. Filmmaking is FAR from a 1-man job, those numerous folks on set get paid help bring the vision forward.

Like 6 underground with Ryan Reynolds produced by Michael Bay. $150 budget for a Netflix original movie. That movie is Krazy nice!!!! Definitely theater worthy. So releasing on demand could be the new norm.

To do a spawn movie good and i mean really fucking good it has to be violent like the cartoon series. (Rated R) It needs to be at least 2 hours long and 40-45min character development between Al and Wanda etc. When he becomes spawn it would be appealing to see spawn's struggle with his apperance. He sees his wife but feels conflicted to approach her because of the situation etc. (they did this a little with Micael J white's movie and that part was good.) I believe if they nail spawn it can be one of the best comic book movies ever made.
