But mjw played with him to feel him out a bit more from the film at scumbags mini mansion, and then he showed how far superior he is by 1st dropping him with a simple standing sweep that made his head & upper back hit the ground, then mjw proceeded to dismantle his opponents attacking ability, put his opponent in a submission hold, & then tapped out himself to make sure the scumbag lost the 1 million on the flight

I've just gotta say, out of all the acting and martial arts athleticism on display here, the single shot that sold this fight scene to me the hardest was that fall after the sweep. Landing on the shoulders like that and just folding up. Like goddamn that looks like it hurt. Even in high octane movie fights you totally need moments like that to ground the fight scene. Superb fight scene and one of my all time favorites. Also all the credit to infusing a character with brief screen time with all kinds of charisma and personality. The little smirks and body language were perfect. And the way the camera isn't afraid to hold and actually show what's going on. Dang this scene is gold.

did anyone catch this ? in the beginning of the fight: Michael Jai White and Matt Mullins fought randomly that's until Matt Mullins caught Michael with a spinning air kick. and at that moment Michael figured out Matts weakness MATT WAS ONLY DEFENDING HIS LEFT SIDE, AND KEPT HIS RIGHT SIDE WIDE OPEN FOR AN ATTACK !!! The only question that is left: how come Michael was able to read this ? was Matt injured ? was he physically weak on the right side ? Note: Keep in mind, I'm asking these questions within the context of the film. I'm asking about the nature of the characters within the film. whats so fascinating about this film, is that this is the only Martial Arts film where you see tactics, game-plan, strategy every little detail within the realm of martial arts was played out in this film as if it were a chess game.

Mayssan Haddad They made the movie specifically with that in mind. One reason why its a personal favorite martial arts movie of mine. What's great about this scene is most of the fights in this film are focused on brute force. MJW takes on huge burly opponents and that's all fun and awesome too. But here.. this fight is where he shows his finesse. This fight is far more about thinking and he doesn't win the fight by strength or even skill but he wins by out-thinking his opponent and with a couple of VERY clever misdirects he gets the upper hand in the fight.

I think the real reason he made a comeback is because he started to shorten his strikes then going for more predictable and telegraphed power strikes. The shorter strikes allowed him to mix fakes into them more easily this threw off his opponent.

I think the real reason he made the comeback is because both actors followed the script

I think bone was messing with him the whole time. He was being cocky and didn’t want to change so bone let him think he was winning. After he took off the jacket, it was completely one sided

@@johnrud454 omg thank you for pointing that out... ive been believing my whole life that america was destroyed in every new movie but they rebuilt everything in a matter of days only... i never thought that the Avengers never existed in the 1st place, i literally thought half of humanity was wiped out... i also believed that 2012 was actually doomsday but somehow the world recovered from it in a matter of days and nobody talked about it at all and all who died simply revived later on omg thank you so much for changing my whole life... without u, i would still have believed that each and every movie in existence actually happened in the real world

This is one of my favorite scenes in any film. Your stunt work is amazing. One of the things I don't like about Michael Jai White's fight scenes is that I know he's a great martial artist, but the scenes don't feel real. Your movements and that fall in particular made it feel like a real intense fight. I had wanted to see Blood and Bone when it came out, but I dropped everything and looked for it as soon as read you were in it. You're badass, Kamen Rider Wing Knight.
