Jordan was tearing them up. Hitting threes, posting the Celtics up, dunking the ball, fast break runs, stealing the ball from the players, utilizing his foot work, and making great passes. This was one of my favorite games of him.

@Secret Wars - Michael Jordan vids channel We'll have to agree to disagree. I recall Jordan always having a consistent jumper. It just wasn't flat out unstoppable until later in his career. Later in his career he added his signature turnaround fade away. Making him a post up powerhouse

That s true but...most of the times Boston won...so...in those year Bulls are just MJ and Boston was Real team...after some years MJ realized that if he wanna win, he has to play with teammates
@MicroWave2334 жыл бұрын
@@pablotupone4190 im tired of people saying this dumb comment, you do realize Jordan's teammates when he came into the league were all doing drugs, like non if them were basketball focused like mj, a teamate of hik even said he was the best player on the team no doubt. Jordan needed a mchale, parish and johnson like bird had to be a contender in the 80s. Even bird said in an interview that he was gifted with great teammates throughout his whole career. No disrespect to bird but that shows you need a great team to win. Mj was a 1 man wrecking ball but he needed more force to get through the walls of the celtics and pistons. Thats why his regared as the best individual player.
@x-man94734 жыл бұрын
@@MicroWave233 Also to add to your comments, what Jordan ended up doing was more impressive. The players in Jordan's starting line up during his first 3 peat were bench players. He developed with his team until they became a dynasty. He's a great team player and he has the mindset of a winner
@MicroWave2334 жыл бұрын
@@x-man9473 very true, bird was a great player out of college, but he had hofs like nate Archibald and cowens when he came to the celtics, and red aurback as a coach. Bird had all the ingredients to became a contestor much like magic. Compare that to jordans start with the bulls, all the great players like bob love retired and your left with a franchise tanking games to get good picks likd how they got jordan. Thats why i hate when people compare his early years to bird, cause bird winning over jordan alot of the time doenst mean his better, you can see in any game jordan had unbelievable talent, but you could never say that about his teamates. Lol, the next best dude was Oakley and i wouldnt want him as my 2nd option on a team.

gotta give Bird for knowing the odds are great that he would be posterized by Mike while going for that block, but he still goes for the defensive play anyways. Shows he didn't care about being embarassed on a play if there was even a chance he could disrupt the play offensively.

@pc2650 The game actually took place 11/9/88. He probably whipped out the 4s around Xmas to hype up the all-star break release. I'm not sure exactly when he would start wearing a new model, but i know he would usually wear a new colorway of the previous year's model for the first part of any given season. for example, he would wear the fire-red 3s at the start of the 88-89 season, the fire-red 4s at the start of the 89-90 season, the fire-red 5s in 90-91, carmine 6s in 91-92, etc.

Your statements are 100% accurate. Not only that you can just see how great his footwork is along with the speed. I mean he just must have given people like D. Johnson fits. YOu can see it in his face as well. Think of playing Jordan one on one. Even Scottie got destroyed by Michael one on one. @NBA1529 Of course he is, just trying to make a point that those stats while impressive, don't necessarily equate to being better defender. If a player gets 12 steals in one game is that player gonna be better than MJ? no MJ is a better defender than Kobe for many reasons, not just having 7 steals in one game, which is what I was the point I was trying to make.
