Kevin Johnson, or as many called him, "KJ", was a three-time NBA All-Star (1990, 1991, 1994), and was selected four times to the All-NBA Second Team (1989-1991, 1994) during a stacked era featuring other point guards such as Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Gary Payton, Mark Jackson, Mark Price, Penny Hardaway, Isiah Thomas... among others.

Kevin Johnson was a member of the historically underrated Dream Team II which included Derrick Coleman, Joe Dumars, Larry Johnson, Shawn Kemp, Dan Majerle, Reggie Miller, Alonzo Mourning, Shaquille O’Neal, Mark Price, Steve Smith, and Dominique Wilkins.
One of the most memorable moments in KJ’s career was his match-up with Michael Jordan's Bulls in the 1993 NBA Finals. The Suns, would of course come up short against the Greatest of All Time, Michael Jordan. Many teams did.
KJ was known for his quickness and agility on the court. His ability to drive to the basket and finish at the rim made him a constant threat to opposing defenses. He was also an excellent passer, with a knack for finding open teammates in scoring positions while breaking down the defense with his incredibly potent dribble drive game. He could also drill contested jumpers from anywhere on the court.
Overall, Kevin Johnson’s career in the NBA was marked by impressive achievements, memorable moments and clutch plays. At his best, KJ could compete with any point guard in NBA history. His passion for the game & competitive drive left a lasting memory during the Jordan era.
