This is prime Jordan in terms of speed, hops, strength, shooting, post game, finishing, and defense. He had ZERO weaknesses in 1989-90, even making 92 threes on .376 shooting.

he could do ANYTHING: jumpshots, layups and dunks inside, fastbreaks, three pointers, shoot over multiple defenders, high free throw %, fg%, 3point %, one of the best stealers of the league and ever, could rebound, block, make great passes and assists, literally nothing he couldn't do!

MICHAEL JORDAN WILL ALWAYS BE THE GOAT! That’s his legacy to always be compared to the next great player. I love it, can’t wait to see who the next great player will be so that they’ll compare him to MJ. Oh and records of total stats are for people who play a shit ton of years in the league, has never made anyone the greatest, just ask Peyton Manning. Great players but not the GOATS. That just means you played more years. The fact that MJ’s accomplishments were in only 11 full seasons with the Bulls just blows my mind! Not to mention the style that Jordan played offensively and definitely was just exciting and awesome to watch, endless incredible moves, shots, and incredible defensive plays. He’s just the BOSS, the GOAT, the MEASURING STICK! So lucky to have lived thru his era!

In today's NBA, if you're a star like LeBron, you're allowed to simply forearm shiver your way to the basket. As long as you don't extend at the elbow, it's legal and LeBron does it constantly. MJ was super strong at the end of his career, no telling how long he could have extended it with that privilege.
@iig2310
@iig2310 4 жыл бұрын
@@C.G91 Its simply, this is when the league actually had real defense. Jordan was fouled and went to the free throw line often cause he attacked the rim and always put pressure on the opposing teams defense.

so, check out D being played at 3:00 mark. so much energy is expended playing TOUGH man on man defense. You had to be superiorly conditioned to play in they era to play man defense all the time while absorbing more physical contact. The overall intensity of the game was absolutely amazing back then! Glad I grew up watching 80s and 90s ball

Wow, thank you for pointing out one example of lax defense. Maybe I should have clarified that not 100% of every game was going to be balls out defense. But any dumb ass knows playing man to man is more taxing and hard to do than playing some sort of zone- like in any sport that’s the case. NBA only cares about scoring now.

funny your user name was kawhi leonard. i had high hope for him but when people say he is like jordan i always say otherwise. other than all the fundamental advantages jordan had, leonard was never as passionate to the game as jordan ever was. jordan played through injury countless of time. remember when he just recovered from his broken foot in 86 he was so ready to ignore team doc's instruction to play normal minute. jordan played bball because it is fun for him. not because of the money, and you can see that from his craft. and by the way, even by the standard back then, then earning was no where near bad.

theloverswineverytime - LOL Oh I still reckon it was all good in the hood. Jordan had some massive games during those Bulls Pistons playoffs in the late 80's. The playoff series went to game 6 in 88-89 season and game 7 in 89-90 season so its hardly a sweep or an ass whoopin' Do you know who DID get swept though.....? Thats right, the Pistons did the following season. And they cried to the refs that WHOLE series and left game 4 early out of utter humiliation. LOL remember that? That was hilarious. Good times for young Chris Collins hey :-)

The fake 16:9 screens are annoying. Much better with black sides.

theloverswineverytime - you mean LBJ and Harden. If you're actually suggesting that they gave calls like today back then, you are a highlight judging fool that never watched a game of old basketball. Today has countless more calls dumbass hence the high scoring of today - duh....lol.
