"THE MAN" "THE MYTH" "THE LEGEND " "THE ICON" Growing up, I hated every team the Bulls played against. I use to work at the casinos in Indiana, and MJ used to come there often and I was in awe every time. People would just start clapping and I remember a lady in tears just because she got a glimpse of him walking past. He's not God but he was a freak of nature on the court.

The media and certainly 1 player himself can not change what we saw, what we experienced. We decide who the goat is. He is not the goat because he was the greatest basketball player we ever saw, which he was by far. He is the goat because he is the greatest athlete we ever saw. We all knew it in 93, him coming back just cemented it over and over again. We will never see anything like that again!

@LovingTinha4 жыл бұрын
@@monolithgeometry3221 so true, only an idiot can appreciate a sport that has been gutted of all the things that made it a competitive tough sport, they tried to artificially inseminate a Jordan like player for all teams, and what they ended up with was a joke of a league, that is more akin to entertainment wrestling than real wrestling. Sure it still requires great physical prowess and skill, but the challenge has been watered down, it's like using cordial instead of 100% squeezed orange juice, it's just artificial and not authentic anymore.
@TK0S34 жыл бұрын
@@monolithgeometry3221 Yeah. They ruined the NBA when they got rid of the defense and allowed people to basically score at will. I'm usually not someone that looks back and says ''back then it was better'' but the NBA truly was at its best in the 90s. They had the physicality of the 80's notched up, with the athletic abilities of the 00's. They had the fundamentals, the defense, the post, the 3. Why else do you think the big men have been erased ? The rules killed the big men. Can you imagine Jordan in todays era without handchecking and hogging the paint ? And some of them have the nerve to say LBJ or Curry is better. SMDH at these young nephews.

It's funny the things he said in that press conference about acting professional, not entitled, doing it for the fans, etc. 25 years later I don't know how people could take the NBA and sports in general that seriously. Guys like Michael, Isiah, Magic, Bird, Julius Erving felt they had an obligation to the fans. Good one. I remember rooting for the lakers then he beat em so next year I just wanted the bulls to lose but they beat the blazers then the suns! I disliked mike. Then his pops was killed and he retired so I felt bad for him. And appreciated his greatness I was he is the greatest. Then I remember hearing news he is coming back I was a fan and loved it.

I missed his first game back bc of church. I did see him walk into the arena tho. By then my mom had the car running and she was pissed off.
