I don't think you can blame aliens for not having a solid grasp of NBA level talent. I think as far as the team goes the build was pretty decent for the era. You're looking at it from todays pace and space style of play which is just ridiculous. In the mid 90s having Bradley fill the center spot and sliding Ewing and Barkley down to PF and SF respectively is a legit plan. With Jordan having a near 100% usage rate for this game, clogging the lane with tough bigs seems like a good strategy; MJ has never been the greatest 3pt shooter and it only really failed because Bugs got on a hot streak in the 2nd half, which they could've never have predicted. Also they didn't scout Bill Murray because he wasn't included in the original roster and at the age of 44 with no track record of athletic talent, nobody knew he was an NBA ready distributor with exceptional court vision and handles. The Monstars just couldn't have planned for that. Let's be honest as well, the refereeing in this game was so biased. Jordan literally crushes an opponents skull to make this dunk. In the replay you can clearly hear the cranium shattering as he stamps on his forehead... Different era I suppose though, things were tougher back then. Ultimately, this game will forever be marred in controversy for the 'secret stuff' scandal. In all honesty, the Toon Squad lucked out being sandwiched in between the WWE steroid trials and the high point of the MLB steroid era in the late 90s. Fans had just had too much of it at this point and were apathetic to the whole process. Say what you will about David Stern but how he managed to sweep this under the rug, I will never know.

The most underrated part of this movie is at the end when Shawn Bradley tells Michael Jordan "He probably doesn't even have it anymore" about MJ's basketball talents when he was still set on not playing NBA basketball anymore. The 62-18 lead the monstarz gave up should be a “collapse” episode or a “the worst” episode
@jordanthejq125 жыл бұрын
Jokes aside, Collapse is for teams who fall down over a period of several years (and usually have yet to fully recover). The Worst implies something fundamentally awful about the event, and while those who reject Space Jam's cult-classic status might believe it qualifies, that is a matter of debate. This is a choke, and Rewinder is probably the format best suited for such an event.

I'd love to see a COLLAPSE on Spanish soccer team Alavés. A team that went from a Europa League final appearance to dropping to 2nd, coming back to the 1st division, then dropping to 2nd and even 2nd B in less than 10 years. They needed 6 years to come back but they're on 1st division once again. Also, they almost won that freaking Europa League final, they lost against Liverpool because of an unlucky own goal in extra time. From the 2nd biggest match in European club soccer to playing a regional league (2ª B in Spain is divided into 4 individual groups, with teams only playing against their "neighbors") dominated by stadiums with less than 10k seats, some with under 4k.

Tune World has never had a mass shooting nor had anyone technically “die” from a gunshot, so that’s why their gun laws are equivalent to the Wild West’s. If this game took place on the Earth’s surface, there’s no doubt that Sam would have been immediately arrested and that the Tunes Squad would have been disqualified. Excellent research!

Your joke was outdated even before you posted it. Lebron had not one, but TWO playoff game winners just last season, so what are you talking about?

According to Basketball-Reference. The Nuggets and Jazz played a game three days after the Suns/Knicks game. The nerdlucks really missed out here since they could have stolen the talents of Malone, Stockton, and Mutombo at once. Mutombo was at his peak in 1995.

with Falk as Stockton and Mutombo's agent, that could have been realistic too

Best episode ever. I loved it. Made me laugh. The way you just talked your way through like it was all true NBA history(gametapes).
