I know he shot a 3 over MJ. But MJ broke his ankles without the ball

Dude shoots over Jordan and Jordan answers by having dude run off giving him a free shot. 😆 made it look easy

The funny thing is these are the only points that Smith made on Jordan in the entire game. He had 15 in the 1st half, but none of them against Jordan. He had 3 points in the entire 2nd half from this shot, 0 points in the final 5+ minutes of the 3rd quarter and 0 points after subbing in with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Game 1 was the only one of the series where he bested Jordan's defense.

IS this the Playoff game where MJ went through the entire heats team and dunked it on them? If so then that scene would have been better than showing him shoot it in the face of someone else.

The description is wrong. Steve Smith didn't guard MJ in this clip.

Am I missing something? Smith hit a three, Mike came back and.... hit a... two? What’s the big deal, he’s supposed to hit that shot, he created the space for himself. It’s a good play, but it’s a shot lots of guys would’ve hit, I don’t understand why this was such an important or iconic moment to archive.

How is that a stare down? Jordan is looking intently at the center of his body and he's guarding against any movement by reacting only when the center of his body moves. He's not glaring into his eyes. He's giving him the shot thinking that Smith has to prove to him he can make it. Smith makes it and Jordan gets all over him next trip down. I understand the commentator wants it to be dramatic and personal but Jordan but no good defender stares into his opponent's eyes, sorry. That would make him very vulnerable to a shot fake when his man puts his eyes on the rim as a fake. Notice Jordan didn't react when Smith looked up at the rim. Jordan was saying "prove it to me" and guarding against the drive.
