Mitch was 1 of the players that played mike very well on D and is a very good shooter. They've had great battles over the years.

Mitch gave Mike fits, and wouldn't back down. Great all around player.

Literally the same way players are guarding other players today. If there were no hand checking or arm guarding then every star player would be averaging 40ppg

At this point MJ had lost a step and a half by his last Bull season. The year before he still had more explosiveness on his step. Not surprised he retired for the first time after this season.

Richmond was an overlooked guy from the 90s. But what else do you expect when he played on the Kings in an era with other shooting guards such as Drexler and Miller? Richmond was a bad dude.

Lot of that would be fouls, pushing MJ with two hands with force before he even get the ball. I miss the old NBA

Mitch is one of the most under ratted forgotten players in NBA history... yes I said it. Someone can check me on this but twice Mitch led the league in 4th quarter points. Granted MJ and the Bulls had a lot of games warped up by the 3rd.

Hence the nickname "The Rock" Mitch was 6'5 prolly 220-225 lbs Strong built like a rock, was very agressive on offense and defense but had one of the smoothest jumpshots.

MJ had a tough matchup with a smaller yet stout player on mitch. When he played against kobe that same season, he had to tell scottie pippen to guard bryant well because he was tired. Now imagine if that's LBJ, mj would never guard him and pippen wouldn't be able to do anything either.

No they would’ve put Dennis Rodman on LJ and he would’ve gave him hell. Dennis had the skills to frustrate Shaquille O’Neal so he would’ve had no problem locking up LeBron James!
@joburke10

@keithbennett4004 dennis Rodman, um, probably not, since people like Ron Artest couldn't lock him up.
@keithbennett4004
@keithbennett4004 4 ай бұрын
Are you really comparing Ron Artiest to Dennis Rodman? I like Ron but he couldn’t hold a candle to Dennis especially on the defense end! Dennis was the Two time defensive player of the year. And all team defense 7 times compared to Ron 1 time defensive player of the year and only 4 times all team defensive player of the year. Dennis was arguably the best defensive player in NBA history and he would’ve had no problem shutting down LeBron James. Facts! Respectfully!
@joburke10
@joburke10 4 ай бұрын
@@keithbennett4004 no I'm not Dennis Rodman was 7 time All defense player but Artest was 4 times all defensive and one less defensive player of the year 1 time. Yeah there's a difference but not a significant difference where you can say he is way above Rodman. Plus he was a good offensive player too, unlike rodman how was great rebounder and good defensive player but no offense.
@keithbennett4004
@keithbennett4004 4 ай бұрын
@@joburke10 when you have Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, you don’t have to worry about offense. Yes Ron Artest was a two-dimensional player however, Dennis Rodman was a better defensive player because he was one dimensional, defense, defense, defense! Shutting folks down was his specialty LeBron James would be no different!
