Scottie Pippen is a better defender then Lebron Scottie Pippen is almost the same height as Lebron. Scottie Pippen is just as athletic as Lebron. Scottie Pippen is smarter in BB I.Q. then Lebron. MJ is the GOAT.... how is Lebron better then MJ, when he's barely better then Scottie? It's an insult to MJ, but I wish the best to the youth.
@TranscendingPolygons11 жыл бұрын
No not really, you clearly haven't seen Scottie in his prime. He could easily dunk from the free throw line, just like Lebron can. They are more similar than you think. Go research.

***** You're wasting your time, it's only natural for these younger folks to think LBJ is the greatest. That's all they were ever told. I'm sure that's what people who saw, Oscar, Elgin, say about MJ fans. BUT I'm a VERY objective person and I've seen MANY hours of footage of the NBA all time greats. Nobody was as creative, driven, or as dangerous as MJ. Only Wilt Chamberlain was such a dangerous figure. And even Wilt can't be compared to MJ, here we are in the year 2014 (30 YEARS!) after MJ was drafted and people still think he is the greatest, despite ALL of the "NEXT MJ" stuff the media has tried to manifest over the last 2 decades. You and I know Scottie was a beast.

@jacobe357910 жыл бұрын
***** I don't think you actually did any research at all on LBJ and Scottie's stats because they are actually vastly different. I'll use LBJ's 2012-2013 stats and Scottie's 94-95 season to illustrate my point(IMO his best season yet). -LBJ beat Scottie in FG% by a whopping 8%. -LBJ beat Scottie in FT%. -LBJ beat Scottie in assists. -LBJ also had about 50 less turnovers -LBJ led the Cavaliers to 2 Finals appearances. Have you seen the teams that -Cleveland built around Lebron? All those players were literally shit Scottie didn't lead the Bulls team to the Finals period AND they definitely had a good team that year -You're also being way too generous in comparing Scottie and James athletically. LBJ is SIGNIFICANTLY stronger than Scottie. He literally ways 20+ pounds more than Scottie in pure muscle in addition to everything he can do similar to Scottie athletically.
@TranscendingPolygons10 жыл бұрын
time2become Maybe you never saw Scottie play in his prime. GO and check out the Power and Grace series on youtube. As players and coaches have said, "The league has changed and allowed players to score MORE EASILY. In order for the expansion, the visual spectacle has increased dramatically". All your stats on Lebron and Scottie don't change the fact that Lebron IS NOT a much better player then him. AND EVERYONE KNOWS that Lebron is stronger then most players, THIS ISN'T A BOXING MATCH though. This is about who has more BB skill and I.Q.

All I see is MJ vs Lebron comments. It's kinda silly, because I would imagine anyone in Lebron's position isn't going to wanna be the next MJ (as flattering as that would be) you should wanna be the first Lebron. I have nothing against Lebron, but I feel like it's hard to like someone when they're constantly compared and said to be better than someone that proved their self time and time again. It makes it hard to like him. I really can't understand the constant comparison.

The same stuff that you all praise him for (his humbleness and extreme kindness), are the same things that make him a weak leader. Deal with it. I was thinking the same thing, it's funny how all these fans are hyping this what appears to be a practice game, and they act like it's a playoff performance xD nba fans today are too overdramatic for me, fans period, rather it's sports or music they are freakin annoying af! these days. lol
@alx7678 жыл бұрын
+Rodney Bolding You can keep on saying this crap out of you head, you are not capable to understand, I think you are against Jordan fan's only, don't you realize that when defenders were half second behind there was nothing to do, honestly this guy was untoppable more than anybody from that era or this era, you are so funny you show you know nothing.

Lol I know I know way more then you think you know. It appears that just like most fans, you're easily caught up in your emotions, nobody said anything about Mj not being unstoppable, so stop putting words in my moth, it makes you look like a rookie that you are to this game like an 16teen year old to life who thinks he knows more then his parents. nephew

No matter how Lebron/Kobe do, they would NEVER be as a MIke, even they have more rings than MJ's . Never be, Uh uh hm!... The only can beat MJ is when you are with your team i mean the weaker team like (Toronto Raptors,Memphis, Minnesota,Milwaukee) these four NEED! a HERO! .Do your BEST like Mike did ,bring to the Finals and win Championship at least 7 in the row... And that the time compare YOU self to him. here are the Requirments you need: Michael Jordan: 1) 11 Scoring Tittle 2) 2 Slum Dunk Champion 3) 3 MVP ALL STAR 4) 5 Regular MVP 5) 6 MVP Finals 6) 6 Rings... beating Michael Jordan surpass him Lebron or Kobe Must have: 1) 13 Scoring Tittle(Strong enough) 2) 3/2 Slum Dunk Champion(Fair enough) 3) 4 MVP ALL STAR 4) 6/7 Regular MVP 5) 7 MVP Finals as far as you can... 6) 7 Rings same as above... If YOU do have these honors.....Should be call "[G.O.N] GOD OF NBA" Or I would say "[G.P.F] Greatest Player Forever"... Period...!

Kobe has more all star MVP's than Michael (which really means nothing), and also has won the Dunk contest. Robert Horry has 7 rings, so by your logic he is better than Michael. LeBron will surpass Jordan in MVP's before his career is over. Your logic sucks

DraikonZ3 No your logic sucks. Zack said they have to accomplish all those honors, not just one of them. What are you? like 5 years old?..

With todays rules Jordan would could score 100, no hand checking way too easy for Mike to score. They couldn't guard him with hand checking and he scored over 50 so many times. Lebron and Kobe are great but there will only be one player with so many fans. Nobody is such a hero to so many as Jordan and that's cause he was and always will be the greatest. Who's gonna where Kobe shoes after Kobe retires LOL or Lebron for that matter.
@TJ-ub5rc11 жыл бұрын
of course 80% of the people who wear Jordan shoes know nothing about Jordan or basketball so that doesnt really matter
@wdiddy111 жыл бұрын
What you said makes no sense. People don't wear Jordans cause they like the color, they wear them cause they're JORDANS. You think if they looked exactly the same but said Adidas they would sell as many? It shows how much of an impact he has, even now when he doesn't play. Lebron doesn't get that kind of love NOW, not even close. If he was better than Jordan he would, cause Lebron ain't some jackass. He's damn good and has a good public image.

Yeah that's it, the look, man why didn't I think of that. I just have to copy the look and I'll sell millions. Just gotta copy the 11's and I'll be rich since they sell out is minutes and are collector items. You are pure genius, now I gotta go make millions so easily thanks to you... THE LOOK man it was so obvious, all this time I thought it was Jordan's name but now I see the light. I gonna be rich bitch! Look for me on the cover of Forbe's wearing my new Tariks.

Magic Johnson So now you're going to each one of my comments and telling people not to talk to me? Do something with your life man.
***** That's not what shutting down is. When does ever happen in the NBA? Almost every player scores at least some points each game. It's when a guy drives, and a defender turns him back or makes him miss. It's like "slamming it down". It happens on one play, not the entire game.

During his era no facebook, youtube or any social media and during his time is the rise of fame of nba and he is the allstar during that era that is why he is so popular that anyone started calling him the goat. Pathetic. If he lived duringg this era lot of players would kick his ass and wilt chamberlain would be the goat! Mr 100. 50ppg.

Overrated? No social media? You act like '80s and '90s basketball took place in "the silent era" or something, haha! How do you rationalize Chamberlain being the GOAT? He played in a league with only 9 teams for most of his prime and the next tallest man at his position was at least 4 inches shorter and 20 or 30 pounds lighter. Have you forgotten than Jordan was the only other player to crack 3K points in a season, aside from Wilt? Can you give me even 1 other shooting guard from this era who would dominate MJ from his prime('87-'93)?
@maffytaffy19149 жыл бұрын
smoothALOE whatever dude. bill russel 11 rings, 6 season mvp, abdul jabbar most point ever, chamerlain record speaks for himself these 3 guys made more than jordan did. during jordans era no FB or any social media ever so if the reporter says hes the best no one can post their opinion to the internet coz in dont exist before. so please shut your mouth. he dont even own an individual record. kobe destroyed his records, jordan is overrated so shut up. lebron has won 10 1st round play offs 3rd in nba jordan is where? so please their are lot more great players than jordan.
@smoothALOE9 жыл бұрын
Bill Russell was also in a league with very little competition, much like Wilt Chamberlain. He was surrounded by a team of future Hall-of-Famers. Why do you think 6 of his 11 championships came against the same team? There wasn't anyone else around. You don't seem to know your Jordan history too well, do you? He still holds the record for most scoring titles. How many other players have won MVP, scoring title, defensive player-of-the-year and all-star game MVP all in the same season? Has anyone broken Jordan's single playoff game scoring record? What about his 6 Finals MVPs? Of course you had to bring up Kobe and Lebron. Kobe surpassed Jordan on the all-time list, but he started right out of high school and didn't sit out any seasons until after he passed him up. Jordan missed one season due to injury, and nearly two others for personal reasons and he spent three years in college. Lebron is currently the greatest player in the game. No doubt about it, but he has a very different skill set than MJ and he has yet to come close to the personal OR team success of Jordan. Only time will tell if he can pass him up there. Don't get me wrong. I love Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. To me, he's the greatest center of all time. If there's one guys who can compete with Jordan by the numbers, it is he: played in a more competitive league than his predecessors, won 6 MVPs, 6 championships, held dozens of all-time records. Much of that was due to his longevity, but he played at a high level for a very long time, as well. There's no need for you to act like a kid, though. Well, maybe you are a kid. I don't really know you 😜
@maffytaffy19149 жыл бұрын
smoothALOE reason reason reason. the best of all time will always show that he is the best whatever league he is in. stop reasoning okay MJ is same as kobe overrated. when MJ did some 3ple double streak it is legendary but when robinson averaged 3ple double in a season people forget. another things MJ was never in the 4double club. the hardest club to be in "the dream" did it thrice or twice i guess. stop the reason he never did things that is almost impossible for others. STFU
Was this part of Jordan's comeback? I wish there was more details about the game being played. Entertaining video, though!

Evilgenius, in all of the years that I spent watching Jordan, I came to one conclusion: Jordan losing was not going to have anything to do with anyone other than Jordan himself. Pippen was a great defender, true, and in many ways contributed, also true. But once Jordan hit his peak, he was just not going to lose. This had a lot more to do with Jordan's resiliency than Pippen's presence.

This was a charity basketball game back in 1994 right before the got ride of the old Chicago Stadium. I am not sure if the whole game is posted on here but there are some extended highlights. Do a search on here for Scottie Pippen 1994 charity game and you should be able to find it. Hope that helps.

Absolutely. I'd personally put Larry in the Top 5 all-time, but I hear what you're saying (Top 10 is unquestionable). Jordan's undeniably the greatest, before Bird's back started giving way, he was in the midst of winning THREE STRAIGHT MVPs--WHILE Jordan was in the league! Larry was amazing in he'd routinely tell anyone defending him tell them what he was gonna do--then usually STILL hit the shot. And I'm talking GREAT opposing players, too. (McDaniel, Reggie Miller, Michael Cooper, etc.)

I forget the year, but it was Indiana in the playoffs, and Mark Jackson has just shredded the Bulls defense in an awesome show of point guard play. The next game they put Scottie on Jackson. Scottie scored only 4 pts in the game, MJ scored 31. But it was Scottie's defense that clearly dominated the game, it was so obvious. He was everywhere, he shut the Pacers down. I'll never forget that game.

I agree, there was no better choice to coach them then Phil. He not only was able to get them to work in a system, but was able to get the team to work together in what often seemed like an effortless manner, both on offense and defense. Between that and being able to attract talent and maintain any egos (which the Bulls did have), he was perfect for them I still think with most other coaches there would be several rings on their hands, but Phil would likely be the only one to help them get 6.
