Keaton is that rare thing : a Genuinely Gifted dramatic actor - with a bona fide background in comedy, who remains capable of everyman, common, relatable yet his own unique brand of humor. So good to see him back in the talkie business

If you want to see Michael Keaton at his very, very best.... There was a TV movie, I think, called 'The Company" . The Company: With Chris O'Donnell, Alfred Molina, Michael Keaton, Rory Cochrane. Real-life figures from the Cold War-era mix with a fictional story based on a group of C.I.A. operatives and their counterparts in the K.G.B., MI6, and the Mossad. Based on some true events, I think it is the absolute best from Keaton. Not to spoil the movie but it had a hunt for a double agent in British intelligence (true story) and a 30 year plot by the Russian gov't to attack the USA thru financial means ( true story). The Russian plot you have probably never heard of but you will recognize the month that it supposedly happened and which day of the week! (You will have your own 'lightbulb' moment once you put the pieces together). You won't regret seeing this piece even if it is 6 hours long in 3 parts.

Oscars is a rigged award event some winner are very deserving. And then the Michael Keaton and Kevin Bacon among others with so much range don’t get enough appreciation. My two cents. Man that owned his own horse ranch, just to play around and ride them for fun, says "I'm not a giant consumer of things - I actually don't need a lot of stuff". He said it deadpan, but he gets the irony of that statement, right? You’re an idiot. Before Michael Keaton and Tim Burton, there were no successful representations of dark superheroes on the big screen. Batman (1989) and Batman Returns changed everything. Michael Keaton’s Batman is the one that’s most like the version in the comics, and if you like Batman: The Animated Series, well, it was inspired by the look and feel of those first two movies as well as Keaton’s portrayal. Keaton and Burton dared to take risks by doing something that was really different at the time, and the impact on the film industry has been nothing short of seismic. And by the way, Keaton and Kevin Conroy are still the only ones to nail the voice. Christian Bale’s vocal performance is incredibly distracting and often hilarious.
