As a overweight guy myself I’m a white belt no joke having someone’s weight on you for such a long time props to both guys white gi for not tapping when you have that much pressure on you and your running out of breath way to give your all to the last drop man !!

Respect to both guys, I’m an ultra heavyweight about to compete in my first comp… trust me, when you have a guy this heavy on top of you it’s extremely difficult to escape, without proper technique and good escapes you’re not going anywhere.

How did it go? My first one is next month same division.

Where did mike get his gi from? Largest size I can find is A6 and they don’t fit me. Side note yes I realise I need to lose weight.

Fuji sells A7 I believe. My A7 is from rollhard.com and it's very comfortable

I think they should have extra divisions. Black gi looks like 350+ lbs
@PukingPanda3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think they expect people that heavy to be competing. It’s a rarity. It is hard though because I’m yet to find videos online of women my size and shape doing BJJ.
@leporoso19863 жыл бұрын
@@PukingPanda what's your shape and size? In US there is a lot of guys over 215lb competing on BJJ. I think the weight division should keep going up every 15 pounds all the way to 300lb.
@PukingPanda3 жыл бұрын
@@leporoso1986 I’m a 6’ woman 250pounds but I’m 2 different types of Islander so I’m built like an man plus I’m also overweight. Great for BJJ against other men but the women in my area are average sized women. I’m sure in America they have women my size but it’s rare in Australia unfortunately.
@leporoso19863 жыл бұрын
@@PukingPanda oh, I see it. I had a lot of Samoan friends in the Army and we played volleyball almost everyday. Everybody was big. And I haven't seen many big women in BJJ. At least you can win your division just by showing up and then try your best on the open division.

@@EastSideNYC Handle, then you should know better. It's easy to pick apart a roll when you're on the wall, or to say "that was a walk in the park." You don't know, you were not on the mat. How about props to the guys for getting out there and competing, something you've yet to do so you don't know....nervous, representing the gym, probably their first match or two or three. Be a better support mechanism, not a Ken.
