I am on my umpteenth time watching this and the 2 light hits on the cymbal that Abe Jr does on the end of Mike’s solo is so perfect. His ears are so dialed in. Such an amazingly musical drummer/musician. Thank you for this video. These guys are such gifts.

This is the best guitar playing I’ve ever heard on KZbin And after I listened to it in 2016, I’ve been to Los Angeles for listening to him in 2017. And I went to Steve gadd band’s concert at Catalina club. I sat down a seat about 2m from Michael Landau. I was really surprised to his amazing performance. To me, it felt like he was a part of his whole being - his mind, his body and emotions, his guitar, his amp and effects board - and it was the best guitar playing I've ever experienced. Thank you so much for uploading this video.

Saying this as a drummer and having no clue about guitars Mike's just awesome... I love his tone, I love his phrases, love his musicality. Met him the other night on tour in Europe, such a humble and nice guy. Got to know him by listening to Vinnie and all the other fusion cats I like. Mike's the one. Huge inspiration.

I was attending North Hollywood High School, and Landau was performing at lunch time on our outdoor stage with a band led by "Bill Ovis" (who became an incredible composer I was told). Landau gets better every year. He kinda confirmed with me when I talked to him at the baked potato after his set.

i was at that gig sitting right by that pole in the shot close enough to touch his pedalboard with my foot and his tone was paradise. i chatted with him before the set and he was using his ML sig fender amp for the dry tone and a super reverb for the wet.
