Just rolled out of bed and accidentally had the tv on our Local Alabama news or something Manson was in the middle of his song and I was standing literally 2 feet in front of the tv waiting, waiting, hoping they'd put his name up before commercial They did! And here I am minutes later! Time to practice! I'll be playing his songs in fifty years or so Awesome amazing, beautiful playing.

I was there with my uncle and cousins, I was a young 18yr old Medical student, going through a hard time, you played that special piece dedicated to your son and since then I've been a fan. My phone was on autoplay while I was doing a music history report and once the bass started rolling I HAD to see the musician behind the magic!! The phrasing and tone, it's what I've always imagined!! Definitely gonna look through your other stuff. I listen to so many awesome bass players, but this one gave me CHILLS, it really spoke to me.

Keep it up Mike, I first heard you on "the Gospel According to Jazz (1st one) w/ Whalum.. Like 20 yrs ago. You have my attention! I'm really blessed to hear you play,, recently saw Jaco's kid Felix when he was playin w the Yellowjackets.. Seen some of histories finest like late Ray Brown, Brian Bromberg.. For years Abe Laboriel was a fav.. I was really into Scofields late 90's band w/ Gary Grainger & Chambers in the pocket, super tight. HOWEver,. Keep thumping Mike! The music you played w late G. Duke was OFF the Hook!! Java jazz stuff.! You have become an extremely inspiring sound, and I think, with the trajectory you've got goin' .. Many may perhaps see you, As I do, as one of music history's greatest bassist!!
