We played this often on KFAT-FM, 94.5, Gilroy. But until now I had no inkling it was about a sad piece of American history.

Great song,,,in ,the famous geronimos Cadillac photo the person behind the steering wheel in the top hat is geronimo not the person in indian head gear. The photo was taken in the summer of 1905. The car was not actually a Cadillac but was a 1904 Locomobile. The photo location was near Ponca city Oklahoma where geronimo was a prisoner of war. In the winter of 1909 intoxicate geronimo died after falling from a horse and laying in a wet ditch all night ,he caught pneumonia and died at the age of 79.....if not for this fantastic song most would never know of the photo.

Well, He was in reality a POW.... All of human history has shown us that wars fought for territory are seldom pretty. If I'm honest, Geronimo died as he lived... I can never hope for that level of a lawless death!
