Mr. McDonald is one of the most humble, talented, kind performers I have ever been able to listen to....and, once...wayyy back in the 80s...I was a guest of Tom Johnston's sis Pam to see the Doobies at Key Arena and later, we all joined up and I got to sing a little song with Mike when we were all unwinding after the show...he is the kindest, sweetest men I have met and his wife is blessed to have him as her other half....what a lovely person Michael is...and kind as the day is long....a gentleman.

I had the pleasure of meeting him as well through my dad who used to be an “investor for the stars”. He became friends with a lot of them & was successful bc he didn’t charge commission so they appreciated the fact he didn’t continuously move their money around just to keep charging large fees & they trusted him. Anyways long story short Michael McDonald is one of the friendliest celebrities I had the pleasure to meet. You can chill with him & it doesn’t feel awkward like it does with a lot of celebrities.

Fell in love with his voice, it’s so diversified and he adapts it to so many styles. It’s wonderful that so many are now recognizing his beautiful talent.

@michaelmcdonald4967 Yes, New Orleans is my grass roots. My father was in the Petroleum Industry & was over North Sea Operations and lived in England, Norway, Holland and Scotland and grew up there from elementary through High School going to private schools in those countries. But always returned home for three months each year. I returned to New Orleans and graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting and went on to get an Administrative Mgt degree as well. New Orleans is like no other place and no other culture. It has the best music, food, history and people and of many places I’ve visited and lived. Let’s not forget Mardi Gras as well.

Echoed by the late, great Bobby Womack - when asked if a white man can sing soul "Soul is in the heart, that dude Mike McDonald, he feels it" - wise words. Mike also chosen by Ray Charles for his duets album. Michael Jackson was fan, George Benson, Aretha, Billy Preston clearly - these people know. Speaking of Billy - Mike loves The Beatles and when playing in Liverpool a few years ago, the band broke into an impromptu Day Tripper as a nod to the FABs - the place went ballistic, hairs on the back of your neck rising stuff. :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4q9nYB7ZdKEeJo

Holy moly! That was so super dynamite! Michael McDonald has more soul in his little finger than most people have in their whole entire body, and I knew he was gonna rock this concert. Man am I glad I fell upon this. Happy Friday night to me.

You are PEACE. You know me by my NAME. When it's good it's really GOOD. What's going on....We are the Authors of our own destiny. All .. is fair in LOVE. YOU GOT IT. Don't Fool yourself. ...stop right now listen to your HEART. Life is fragile. Souls and hearts can be hurt by ignorance and arrogance and incompetent behaviour. Listen up, our lives on this Earth are not meant to be acted out for a theatre of WAR and war criminals who are sick, illiterate of the Geneva convention and International law.
