I think it’s most likely that he died. He jumped at night while it was raining, also one of the 3 chutes they gave him was for practice and not real and he jumped with 2 of them, one being the not real one.

They did find some of the money super beat up by time and the woods. They wrote every cereal number down so they could find him when he spent it. He never did though, so when a hiker found a pack of bear to hell money with the matching numbers it was proof he probably never made it. Who knows

There’s a not so quiet group of people who think “Dan Cooper” (who the news later began to refer to as DB Cooper) was an agent from a 3 letter agency. They think the hijacking was more or less some kind of test, since airline security was more or less a joke. Not sure how much I believe it, but it doesn’t make the whole thing make a little more sense, as these agencies would likely be the only real way cooper could’ve made it out alive, as they’d be getting updates in more or less real time, the entirety of the money was never found, not even a single bill spent, dozens of people claim that they were cooper on their death bed, preference for a military schute, familiarity with the aircraft, traces of aerospace grade metal on his clothes, calm and collected demeanour despite his situation. It’s not definite, but it is most definitely possible

All the DB Coopers that they investigated had military backgrounds so if he was one of them he would have survived. Also apparently they gave him 2 bad chutes and 2 good chutes. I don’t believe this theory because why would they risk him taking hostages and them dying? I believe he got away and died years later. Absolute Legend though. Very smart man

Wym forcing a second season??? The show os NOT, i repeat, NOT about breaking out of prison. What the show is about literally has to do with why his bro is wrongly put there in the first place. The show is about a massive conspiracy, which his brother got caught up in. Knowing this, it's easy to see why the show went the way it did. It's not a prison escape show and never was, correcting your expectations and understanding this makes you realize how amazing the entire show is.
