I was saved at a very young age. Throughout my years I had lived in sin. I felt the pull of his spirit , I knew what I was doing was wrong. I let my flesh win time and time again. The older I get the more I want to walk with him and show him I love him , I believe I never lost my salvation. The lord knew I was and will always be his. I choose now to feed my spiritual man and not my flesh. Yes I still fall short , but I’m saved by his blood, by his free gift.

@Sunny Love Although I do respect Brother Pearl I disagree with him on this subject. I do not believe it is even theoretically possible for a truly born-again person to lose their salvation. When you are born into God's family God becomes your heavenly Father and you are His child by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. That is all by His grace and eternal life is the gift of God by grace. Romans 6:23 and Ephesians 2:8,9. All Christians sin to one degree or another, but God does not disown you because of sin, no matter how many or how bad they were. Sin breaks your fellowship with God according to First John chapter 1, but it can never break your relationship to God EVER! When the Lord Jesus promises that if you believe on Him you will have eternal life and will not come under condemnation He means exactly what He says. God literally gives a person who believes on Christ a new nature that is from God. That is what the Bible means by being "born again" in John chapter 3. That new nature will live forever with God. However, you still have the old nature you were born with and it can cause you to sin and that sin must be confessed to restore your fellowship. First John 1:6-10. So, if you KNOW that you've been born again you may rest assured that you are God's child and He will NEVER disown you, but He will chastise you if you live in persistent, willful sin. See Hebrews 12:4-11. Chastisement can be quite serious, but God does it for our good because He loves us. bible.timelesstruths.org/Hebrews%2012:4-11

I agree that this shouldn’t be our main focus, but God wants us to know that we HAVE eternal life (1 John 5:13). That eternal life is in our spirit - our new, born again “man.” This gives us assurance that we will be with Christ forever (It is our Hope - the anchor of our soul). It is not “eternal” life if it can ever end.

"After having received a knowledge of the truth" That means after learning about Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the dead as the FINAL sacrifice. (The gospel) "If we go on sinning willfully." This means you reject the gospel that you now know about." "There remains no more sacrifice for sin" This means if you reject the gospel after learning about you cannot go back to the HEBREW way of temple, priest, and sacrifice because God will no longer accept your animal sacrifice. This SHOULD be ABUNDANTLY clear to anyone who's actually taken the time to read, understand, comprehend, absorb what was learned in chapters 8 and 9 as well as 1 through 7 and the rest of the book of Hebrews. P.s. I am SO SICK of people who are too lazy to even quote the passage but instead just say... "Hebrews 10:26." And then they think they have proven their point and don't even BEGIN to understand the context. Nor do they know that the very book they quote mine from actually teaches once saved always saved. When I was 14 I asked a similar question of my dad. "When a person accepts Jesus as their Savior are they eternally secure?" He smiled and say, "Yes...as long as they want to be." Maybe not the greatest theological answer, but it had a huge impact on me. Later on in life God gave me a vision which was nearly identical to Jesus' teaching on the True Vine in John 15. In it Jesus makes this interesting statement, "If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will bear much fruit." My pastor has a saying. Instead of eternal secure, he says we are to be eternally abiding. Thank you for your chanel.

Absolutely I agree with that. Although I will say that there are some people who want to be eternally secure who are really not abiding in Christ. They want to live a lifestyle of unrepentant perpetual sin and think they’re going to make it. However, I think a lot of those people probably have never been born again to begin with, but absolutely I believe it is possible to follow way and commit apostasy and even get to the place where you would not even desire to repent. You might want goodies, but you would not be able to repent. The fact that we have preachers in the world who are now atheists, like Charles Templeton seems to prove that case.

Are People who believe they personally have to keep on doing right and not sin a big sin, relying on their works to help Jesus along the saving process? Is there a risk they are not saved. I argued how do you get salvation back. Can't by doing good works. We're saved by faith and faith is a gift of God. So did I have to refuse the gift I had accepted then ask for it back. I'm afraid my fellow congregationalist may be lost if relying on their works to keep their salvation.

Salvation is an ongoing process. Philippians 2:12-13 “So then, my beloved, obedient as you have always been, not only when I am present but all the more now when I am absent, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For God is the one who, for his good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work." Saint Paul begins and ends his discussion on faith using the phrase “the obedience of faith.” Rom 1:5 and 16:26. If we go to a doctor and he tells us to take some medicine and we do not, can we say that we really have faith in what he is telling us to do ? Whenever we sin against God’s will we are saying that we don’t really believe that His will is best for us. Our faith is imperfect in those instances. God perfects our faith through our acceptance of our cross that He asks us to carry.

I think it comes down to the time period that your in. There are scriptures that say a person can lose it, there are scriptures that say a person can’t lose it, is there a discrepancy? Or is there more to learn? It’s a hard question to accurately answer with details and explanations in a short amount of time, but the best way I know to summarize it is, that God deals with people differently through different time periods. Adam, Noah, Moses, Abraham all were saved in different manners. We are now saved directly from them. People in the future will be saved differently from us. Now, during this Grace period, people are saved by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ask Jesus to be your personal savior, to forgive you, acknowledge that he died for your sins, that you accept his salvation and believe in him and who he says that he is. John 3:16

The Bible talks about those who endure to the end, Mark 13:13, Matthew,24. PEOPLE DON'T BE FOOLED: The Bible warns Christians that they can "fall from grace" (Gal. 5:1-5), be "cut off" from salvation (Rom. 11:18-22), have their names removed from the Lamb's Book of Life (Rev. 22:19), by committing certain sins and not repenting of them (cf. Absolutely a believer cannot lose their salvation. There is no verse in scriptures to support that. However a believer consciously and intentionally CAN walk out or abandon the gift of salvation from their heart they once received. As you’ve said this is irreversible for it is as good as crucifying again the son of God. Abandoning or walking away from salvation has the same consequences of losing salvation. The semantics clearly explains the difference.

Salvation is repentance of sin “stop sinning “ and prove your repentance by your deeds, then God will forgive your sins, then be baptized “ Die with Christ “ wash away your past sins in baptism, then put on the new man in Christ, which is created in righteousness and true holiness , then live a Godly life , which is your reasonable service steadfast to the end. Then add virtue throughout your life, and live a disciplined life.

If a Christian changes his mind and denies Christ, is he still going to Heaven? I have heard 3 different answers 1. He is still going to Heaven 2. He is NOT going to Heaven and NEVER was truly saved. 3. He is NOT going to Heaven, even if he was saved for a while, "If you deny me before men, I will deny you before my Father" still applies. Any thoughts?

The REALITY is that people don't even know what it is to become "saved", let alone lose their salvation. The first thing is becoming saved is the same as a "Spiritual Awakening" or "Born Again Christian." If you have gotten to this point you cannot lose your salvation as you have to contend with spiritual attacks by Satan and God does not give up on those who have become "Spiritually Awakened" as those who have become "Spiritually Awakened" have given up most of their money and materialistic possessions to get to where they are. When a person becomes spiritually awake God takes control of their life and gives them what they need when they need it as the person has to contend with BOTH the on-goings the spiritual world and the physical world as the same time.

Need to check the 2018 video. According to John 10, no, a true believer *cannot* lose their Salvation. Unless one has the power to take any of us out of Jesus' Hand or out of the Father's Hand. Can we *reject* Christ and throw away our Salvation? I have heard that one cannot even do that. This is one for further study, though my last one, where I found John 10, proved to me that it *just cannot be done, you cannot lose your Salvation IF you are a TRUE believer in the Lord Jesus Christ!* NOT my opinion - If Jesus says that NO ONE can take us out of HIS Hand, nor can anyone take us out of The Father's Hand, I believe Jesus Christ. 100%!

Most people think this question is about christians who have fallen away due to sin. No, what about the Christian who, once saved, openly rejects Jesus now? Did they lose their salvation? The simpleton answer is that the person was never saved to begin with.

I've learned through hebrews that you can reject Jesus after tasting the heavenly gift, after tasting the holy spirit, to then reject Him. But thats different than losing your salvation, its more of a denial of the free gift of God.

You either trust Jesus for your salvation or you don't.. suggesting you can lose your salvation is like saying Jesus didn't suffer enough for us or he couldn't do what he claimed.. when we are born again God seals us with his holy spirit, this cannot be undone.. this is the plan that God put forth to reconcile us back to him.. God certainly didn't put his precious son through horrible agony so we could end up losing our salvation every time we mess up, our sin doesn't cause us to lose our salvation but rather it steals the joy of our salvation.. God resists a proud heart but he loves a repentant heart, how we feel about our sin reveals whether we are saved.. if we sin willfully then we still love our sin and we are false converts therefore not saved.. if however we stumble and sin and feel shame and regret and repent afterwards, we are truly saved.. Holy Spirit convicts our hearts when we sin and causes us to feel remorseful

Okay I have one question. If one saved, and there is sin unto death, and God himself may kill that person so their soul may see heaven. With that being said, does he choose to kill some believers ? And allow other believers to fall away? That’s my question. Are certain people preserved so God kills them , and God let others depart ? Why is that?

Once saved , the Holy Spirit seals your salvation. You can’t unseal that. This is so wrong . Christ doesn’t jump on and off the cross anytime we choose to screw up . Then it depends on us . You can’t loose it . You can loose rewards that is what you can loose

I agree. Hebrew is to Hebrews. If they go back to the daily sacrifice of animals, they are lost to fellowship in Christ, but they will yet be saved. Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Great video and answer. However, there is one problem with this explanation. In the beginning you said that the only way to lose salvation was to stop believing on Christ. Then in your explanation of being careful, you use the illustration of veering off into sin. This is the issue with those who teach that they can lose their salvation. The "goal post" keeps moving whenever you try to nail them down on what could cause someone to lose their salvation. It is true, we did not get saved by works, so we are also not kept by works. As Galatians teaches, we received the Spirit by the hearing of faith and perfection (maturity, righteousness) is also by the hearing of faith (reckon yourself dead indeed unto sin). Sin will not cause someone to lose their salvation. They will lose reward (suffer loss, saved yet as by fire), they will be chastised, etc. But they will be kept by the power and grace of God, Losing faith will not cause someone to lose their salvation. Faith is required to be saved, but it is not faith or the amount of faith that saves us. It is Grace, "For by GRACE are ye saved THROUGH faith." Faith is the vehicle that got me to grace, but I only needed enough faith to call on Christ for salvation. Once I called on Him, He saves to the uttermost. My faith may falter afterword, but His grace will never fail. To illustrate, consider the night of the Passover in Egypt. They had to apply the blood. This took faith. But the salvation was based on, "When I see the blood...." Inside the house, after the blood was applied, they might have had moments of fear and doubt, but the death angel still passed over them because the blood had been applied. Faith got them to grace, but it was grace that got them through the night.

Romans 8 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. More Than Conquerors 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[j] 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Who is God speaking to in those chapters? I believe it is Hebrews (Jews). There is a difference between Jews and Gentiles, and there is a difference between Jesus when he was still alive in the flesh, preaching to his people (Jews) before he died, and ressurected for the sins of the world, and Jesus after he had made his eternal sacrifice. Jesus came to preach to the Jews when he was here. Matthew 15:24 King James Version 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The house of Israel (Jews) It wasn't until after his death and resurrection that Paul was given revelation about salvation. Also, Paul had a relationship with other disciples and ran it through them as well. Colossians 2:13 King James Version 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; All trespasses (sins), not just some. Unless you are saying God is a liar?
@MR-rk4xj4 жыл бұрын
It is only God's elect who are predestined, and already justified. The apostles are a good example. Jesus said "follow me"....and without free will, they followed him. This is a separate group than those of free will. Read through the churches, and it is very evident that some will not "lose" but maybe better worded "forfeit" their own salvation. But they can choose to repent, if they want to. This question of "losing salvation" is a loaded question to begin with, and cannot even be answered without defining what one means by "losing". The pre-tribulation rapture is not written anywhere in the bible, and muddies these waters even more.

I thank the Heavenly Father for the sound teachings of brother Michael; However, I disagree with him on this subject. John 10:28 "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." Any man includes the believer himself. Amen! Heb 6:6 "If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." This describes a believer who continues to "fall away" (rebel against God), not one that has "fallen away" and has now repented and returned to God. You cannot return to fellowship with the Father while you are living in rebellion against Him. Praise the Father for all the good works He has done through the life of brother Michael. Maranatha!

Jesus said our faith is but the size of a mustard seed, and then He told us what we could do if we had faith the size of a mustard seed, which is the smallest of seed of all seeds in the earth.. For proof of how much faith you have; "say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove" "say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you." Try this, it will show you how much faith you really have. (Matthew 17:19-21) "Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? {20} And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. {21} Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." Mark 4:31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: (Luke 17:5-6) "And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. {6} And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you." The only thing we who have faith the size of a mustard seed can do is believe the gospel of the grace of God found in 1Cor.15:1-8. (Galatians 2:16) "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." How are we justified? "by the faith of Jesus Christ", His faith, not our faith; but our mustard size faith "belief" does have something to do with our salvation, " even we have believed in Jesus Christ", "that we might be justified by the faith of Christ" again, His faith, not our faith. Then God tells us a few verses later in this same chapter; (Galatians 2:20) "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." "and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Who's faith are we now living by according to God? "I live by the faith of the Son of God", again the Son of God's faith, not our mustard size faith which can fail, but the faith of Jesus will never fail, I'll trust His faith, not mine. Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: "through the faith of Christ" again His faith not our faith. It appears that when we put our mustard size faith by believing the Gospel of Grace 1Cor.15:1-8, God gives to us as a free gift the faith of Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8) "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" "through faith" His faith not ours. "and that" the faith just mentioned. "not of yourselves" it is not your faith. "it is the gift of God" So the faith that saves us is the faith of the Son of God, and it is a gift from God. According to this verse faith is one of the mysteries Paul was given to teach us. 1 Timothy 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

U can't earn salavation but the once saved always saved contraditcs the idea of the Bible (new testament) why once saved always saved talks about we can live the way that we want to. to have pleasures of this world that is it ok to do it. because once saved always saved right. And it kinda contraditcs what the Bible teaches us to pursue holiness not to earn salvation ok, but to glorify our father.hers the thing God gives us a free will every human has a free will .either they follow Christ or Depart from him and don't be so assured in ur bealifs always look what the Bible states to follow the commandments not to earn salvation but to glorify God and show our faith. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way what seems right to a man but lead to his own death. Even our selves cannot be trusted nor others always trust what Bible teach us to obey God's word not to earn salvation . But because we love him how can u say u love God if u keep disobeying him .God said we are under grace and not under the law yes it's true but once we depart from him we are again under the law.
