Every scouting report makes every player look like an all time great when it shows their strengths, and makes them look like busts when the weaknesses are shown. These scouting videos don't deter GMs when they know they found a star.

@ joselakichan I agree because if scouting was so great in the NBA Jason Tatum and Donovan Mitchell would've gone 1 and 2 in the draft. I can't lie, I thought Fultz should've gone #1 based on his skills, but no one knew he would lose his jump-shot the way he did. NBA scouts have missed a lot of gems over the years.

Yeah, obviously all these videos show weaknesses, but it's all to varying degrees. His weaknesses basically suggest that he doesn't have a position in the NBA; too stiff and slow to play the 3 and too weak to play the 4. And scoring is basically his only calling card and the weaknesses basically suggest he won't be able to create his own shot in the NBA.

When he was in high school in Columbia, Mo. and played against Justin Tatum(Boston Celtics) high school from St. Louis, Mo. I thought that he was a little bit better player, because of his explosion to the hoop. When he came back after back surgery to play with Mizzou at the end of the season he had none of that explosion and even had some shots blocked and his jumper was off. He was out of shape and winded. Give his body a little time to recover and I think he will become the beast he use to be.

I have the same back injury as him and it is tough to sit in a chair with that disc problem also him having back surgery is really scary as 1 back surgery leads to a minimum of 2 more in the future. Also T Mac had the same injury as well and we know how much is back derailed his longevity in the league. He has great skill but that back injury makes him a huge gamble even more than Harry Giles last year who was the 1 recruit and tore both his Acl's and Mcl. Hopefully he can stay healthy and enjoy a long and great career.

He is only 19 years old though. He shouldn't be hard to develop into an NBA star and if teams take a chance with his health but if you develop him for a couple years and get him 100% and by the time he is 25 years old he should be a good player and will play for many years and he is scouted in the top 10 so hope my Bulls take a chance on him.

The low-key winner of this "LeBron leaving Cleveland" summer fiasco is Coach Ty Lue. He mentioned in a presser during the Finals that coaching is challenging to him, as he doesn't necessarily get to do what is his strength, TEACHING young players. With LeBron exiting, and if they are able to have this young stud fall to them at 8, he'd have a good yougn core: Hood, Clarkson, Nance, Porter Jr., Cedi Osman, Ante Zizic, and whomever they select in the second round (if they have one). I can see them competing for the 8th seed next year and Lue getting Coach of the Year consideration. Vets like George Hill, TT, and if they keep Calderon, and Jeff Green, will help to foster a competitive environment during the transition from center of the basketball universe to a League Pass blackhole!!! I'm rooting for Lue, but the progress begins with getting this kid!!!

His real comparison is a taller Danny Granger. Just like Granger a good shooter and instinctual scorer with not a lot of shimmy to his game. Many people don’t remember Danny Granger averaged 2 straight seasons of 25ppg before the injuries. I could definitely see that for MPJ in the future.

I think that a lot of his weaknesses come from not playing against good opposition...3 games for Missouri and a couple of exhibition games didn't really prepare him for the NBA. He will need a franchise that won't push anything and lets him develop. Chicago would be ideal because they already have guys who can carry the team.

I think he'll play a lot at SF. He'll play more SF than C because he is too weak to play center and might even play more SF than PF. He can get basket and can shoot. That's why I think he projects more as a SF.
