If he cant defend at the college level, he definitely cant defend at the nba level. Physically he has the all the tools but dude's basketball IQ is pretty low hence his defense is also terrible.

They had the pick right after Paul was taken, and New Orleans actually offered to trade the pick for both of Charlotte’s first rounders in 2005. The guys Charlotte picked from that draft instead of Chris Paul ended up being Raymond Felton and Shawn May.

I prefer 2017 class simply because it was sooo damn deep. 2018 is very top-heavy with Doncic and SGA but after another 3-4 all-stars there isn't much potential there for stars. 2017 had Tatum, Spida, Markannen, Bam but then another 10 NBA starter guys

He's led the NBA in points and assists in the same season in 2021-2022 and people still didn't care 😂The thing about Trae that no one talks about is he's only 24. He's like a year older than Keegan Murray. Dude has been averaging 27 points and 10 assists since his sophomore year which is just outrageous offensive output. I know he's maybe the worst defender in the league but he's one of the best offensive players easily. His issue is he was just too good too soon. If he was a 20 and 5 guy for say three years and then went up to 23/6 then 25/7 etc then people would be hyping this guy and giving him his flowers. But his second year he got 30 and 9 he's been graded on a prime superstars curve ever since which was always a bit unfair.

Not only that this draft included Luka, SGA, Trae and Mikal, but a lot of good key role players that went to have playoff runs also belong to the 2018 draft class. One player became DPOY: Jaren Jackson Jr., and four players went on to become NBA champions: MPJ, Bruce Brown and even both Kostas and DiVincenzo 😅

That year draft class compared to the nfl draft class in 2018 were very similar. Baker-Ayton both decent players, Allen-Luka both amazing players and Shai-Lamar both are also very good.
