They had the pick right after Paul was taken, and New Orleans actually offered to trade the pick for both of Charlotte’s first rounders in 2005. He's led the NBA in points and assists in the same season in 2021-2022 and people still didn't care 😂The thing about Trae that no one talks about is he's only 24. He's like a year older than Keegan Murray. Dude has been averaging 27 points and 10 assists since his sophomore year which is just outrageous offensive output. I know he's maybe the worst defender in the league but he's one of the best offensive players easily. His issue is he was just too good too soon. If he was a 20 and 5 guy for say three years and then went up to 23/6 then 25/7 etc then people would be hyping this guy and giving him his flowers. But his second year he got 30 and 9 he's been graded on a prime superstars curve ever since which was always a bit unfair.
