Haha, yeah, turns out the chromatic lick, if he refers to the ending of the solo, is sliding tapping with the pick and relatively easy to do, especially compared to the rest of the solo.

Michael Romeo is the ultimate metal guitarist. He has it all - incredible chops, blistering speed, extremely precise rhythm playing, writes tons of memorable riffs and has an easily recognizable tone and style. He truly brings the whole package and in this regard nobody can touch him.

@@ferdinardos Yes! Many of these virtuoso players are only notable for their acrobatic solo playing. And Romeo of course has fantastic command of every advanced technique and can easily hang with the fastest of shredders. But unlike of many of them, he also keeps coming up with kickass, world class riffs on every album. And that's not all yet. Dude also has some serious symphonic orchestration chops ...

Michael Romeo is really awesome! I still think perhaps his best guitar solo is in ''Dawn of a Million Souls'', that solo was long like 2 minutes I think. This one is short but still awesome!
