I never tire of yarn hauls. The good news for me, personally, was that charcoal tweed yarn. I had a vest, years ago, that I loved. It was made of something similar. A few moves down the road and it got lost. I didn’t start crocheting until about a year + ago, but now I can make - recreate something similar. So excited! Thanks, Juan. 😊

I love that you showed the 'back up' yarn. I can so relate. Went to Michael's to get yarn for a Christmas present (specific colors and all that), saw another variegated color i liked which of course i had to get as well as the contrasting yarns, which got me to thinking of what i had in my stash, which meant more yarn. In the end, i left with triple the amount then i had planned, but i do not regret it one bit!

I love your enthusiasm / excitement Michael! I'm just starting to learn to crochet and I totally get it! Currently just learned double crochet and only doing scarves (I get lost in the stitches sometimes) but so looking forward to making a beanie and going from there. I'm doing it in honor of my mom who has been crocheting since a teen and doesn't even need a pattern just a look at the item and she is off and crocheting it! I'm not trying to match her talent but I'm just glad to pick up on that creative side of the family (I'm the only card maker in the family, everyone else does crochet and other creative arts). I made a hexi cardi with post stitches for someone's doll. Good thing I made the two sides simultaneously, so that way I could put another dye lot at the end....like I meant to do it.😂

Love your scarf and beanie, black is my favorite color. That variegated you showed are the identical colors as the lion brand ice cream. I just finished an afghan in that yarn. I used a simple shell or fan stich? It worked out that each color worked up per row, didn't plan on it, but was so happy it did. My colors are blacks, grays, silvers, or muted earth tones. I only use primary colors for family and friends who want something made in those. I absolutely love your haul today. Great job!,😊❤👍

Love the beanie with your splash of color! Crystal is great and definitely has a lot of awesome tutorials, been watching her for years now. Great tweeds, I like the darker color for sure but the light gray is nice too. I really like the sage and grays together too, that’d make something nice. I’ve yet to try the macchiato but I do love a Caron. I’d like to try the blossom cake next. I’ve made blankets with latte and I love them, as well as Bernat Forever Fleece or Pipsqueak. I definitely agree about texture in a cream yarn. I’m doing a blanket using the basket weave stitch using the Caron Lovely layers latte cakes and it’s absolutely gorgeous! That stitch would probably not show up as well using a busy color way.
