It's a bit of a pity actually. It used to be very common a few decades ago (Rudi Carrell, Herman van Veen, Linda de Mol etc) but somehow it's less of a thing now... I guess it's because the Dutch entertainment industry is now big enough to stand on its own legs, so collaborations are not really "needed" anymore. But it's very nice to see that is does still happen sometimes!

I blame the fact that (the western part of) the Netherlands is mainly focused on the USA than on Europe. Both in news as in entertainment.

Well I do think we interact. The Netherlands brought so many great Entertainers from Heintje to Rudi or great musical singers and TV-Shows. Ilse infact is part of this years"Sing mein Song" season. She also competed in the freeESC last night. Jan Smiet is quite famous here aswell also since his childhood and now as a part of Klubbb3. Living in the border region I think we interact quite well. One of the issues is though, that so many dutch speak german yet in Germany no one really speaks dutch yet we both seem to understand both languages quite well. But it's true, in Germsny we focus on Austria and Switzerland more than on the Netherlands and Belgium. I hope that this crisis brings us closer together again. Now that we've got a taste of how much we miss each other and that we shouldnt take it for granted to cross borders daily without even noticing and how much we have achieved looking back on where we came from.

Absolutely one of the highlights of the show; beautiful version of a classic Eurovision winner. Goosebumps!💖 I hope we get to see en hear more from Michael Schulte in the Netherlands. He had the best song by far in 2018 and was for me the real winner. Their other duet song ' Wrong Direction' is also very good. ❤ from the Netherlands.

Hmm, die Country Harp interpretiert den Song um, kann man machen, aber alleine deshalb mit der Klassik Version kaum zu vergleichen. Gut sind aber momentan alle Songs, die man leise singen kann (trotzdem, auf min. 4 Meter Abstand). ;)

Ilse hat "gestern" aber auch alles mitgenommen 🤣 Michaels Stimme und Ilses Akzent 🤩 richtig schön und so wichtig, in diesen Zeiten. Und obwohl wir alle zur Zeit getrennt sind und nur eingeschränkt reisen dürfen (endlich wieder), sollten wir uns in Europa endlich mal bewusst machen, wie gut wir es hier haben. @@Blackdragend1 I don't agree. The song, the voice and the presentation Ben Dolic was only low average. None of his presentations has impressed me. I think there are much better singers in Germany. And yes, they should not present a standard international song, but something special in the local language German. One of my favorite eurovision songs is still euphoria. It is dynamic in pitch, volume, no even splashing.
