Exactly. Michael was a part of many peoples lives, who deserve to know, how he's doing, even if it's bad. Their prayers can even help him get better faster, if his family opens up and trusts, that people will treat everything with respect, and I don't see a reason, why they wouldn't. People would be only thankful, if the family stopped the secrecy towards those, who anyway pray for Michael's recovery and want to know better, what his real condition is. Not out of curiosity, but from a feeling of friendship and participation. I believe, that unexpected doors could open up, if Corinna decided to open up first

Considering that the finance the family have available to support their lifestyle and their treatment of Michael, came from the support of his fans who bought his merchandise and event tickets etc. I think they are being incredibly insensitive and thoughtless in denying fans even an occasional bulletin about how he is doing. With this kind of behaviour I am surprised that it has taken this long for the threat of exposure to to happen. While sympathising with his position I don't have much sympathy for the family.

The family will easily win the case. The right to a private life is very strongly embedded in European human rights law. The only winnable defence you could have to counter that would be a "legitimate public interest" argument, which would have to be something like a wish to expose political corruption or something like that, which clearly doesn't apply here. In law, whether you agree with it or not, the mere fact that the public are interested doesn't override Michael's human rights.
