Love Nocturnal Animals. Big fan of the story within a story narrative, and I don't mind a hood revenge flick, either. Could've done without the opening credits, though. He's also great in Take Shelter. If you haven't checked that out, I'd recommend it.

So glad Michael Shannon is being more widely recognized. Have to say I am surprised George Jones isn't the icon I always thought he was. The show makes it clear Tammy was more popular, even in the South. If hearing George sing "He Stopped Loving Her Today" doesn't make you a little misty, there's a real chance you've never known heartbreak.

I like it when Michael has his hair nice coiffed with dark brown color and having his eyebrows trimmed , no facial hair. I can never understand when surrounded by hair and make up people that his brows arent always trimmed and hair styled nicely with part on the side.........

New York in the seventies: Dirty, trash in the streets, but ever so affordable! Crazy arts scene. I'd move back in a minute.
@m3rl1n4 Жыл бұрын
Funny how many of us seem to have a fascination with 1970s New York. With all the high crime rates and trash here and elsewhere, it had a grittiness and sexiness to it. Not to mention the music/arts scene and affordable housing back then.

my memories of NYC in the early '70s is not pleasant. two main points: it's the first time I was made aware of the unscrupulous trumps and hearing d.trump's name (with my dislike of him ever since) and a woman getting attacked/robbed/killed with something like 37 people hearing/seeing it for a period of time yet no one called the police to help her. I was a young kid for the lady and a young teen for trump so it scared me off of the place and crappy rich people lived there. of course, I now know it's much more than that but, to this day, I'm wary of the place and I'm from New England so it was a bummer to have that in my head
