I like how he asked the interviewer if he was suicidal too, a nice guy wanting to help others through they're problems.

Kurt Cobain could have grew and became older more mature ..had an adult daughter who is talented ..maybe at one stage of your life things are hard ..but through time you can heal.. suicide is never the answer . permanent solution to a temporary problem ..god bless Kurt .

He went through a long period of writer's block after River Phoenix's death, that's possibly why you hear that difference. Artists are changed over time by their experiences.

I agree aswell but I think, Interviews should sound semi like casual conversations. When the interviewer shares some about themselves, the person being interviewed seems to get comfortable

yeah but not in pulling the trigger. She's just a reaaally nasty person. He chose her because he still got unresolved childhood issues with his mother, it's subconscious. Did you know that Courtney & Wendy O'Connor get along just fine. They got most of his money now and are laughing together on celebrity pictures. That fact alone is just illimuniating isn't it? Watch his mothers extended interview of Montage of Heck, she comes across as materialistic, cold, calculated, remorseless.... just a complete fake. She betrayed her own son emotionally and physically by kicking him out of his home. Read his biography and forget this conspiracy bullshit.

well Courtney knew that Kurt was suicidal, and she knew which buttons to push to lead him to suicide. She even says in "Montage" that he tried to kill himself when he found out that Courtney tried to cheat on him.. he was just a weak individual who felt sorry for himself way too much... and that obviously is a HUGE turn off for any woman, if you know their psychology... so basically the bitch pushed him to kill himself.. we don't know what else courtney did between March and April to push him further...

“It’s ridiculous. He killed himself. I saw him the week beforehand, he was depressed. He tried to kill himself six weeks earlier, he’d talked and written about suicide a lot, he was on drugs, he got a gun. Why do people speculate about it? The tragedy of the loss is so great people look for other explanations. I don’t think there’s any truth at all to it.” - Danny Goldberg, Nirvana's manager www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/kurt-cobain-death-suicide-anniversary-nirvana-courtney-love-theories-manager-interview-a8854766.html

How odd, he was friends with River Phoenix and Kurt Cobain, who both died under similar circumstances... and oddly, he owns and will not release River's music... per the Phoenix family. I can't stand all of these fake "Friends".... who were only out to hurt both of these men. Anyone that believes that Michael Stipe is a good guy is sorely mistaken.

You're right unfortunately. Stipe is also an acolyte of Courtney Love's (I refuse to call that form of sick co-dependency friendship). He was also an associate of another abuser Mario Batali. Needless to say Stipe is pretty shady himself. Stipe is a survivalist and a user. Which disappoints me, because I love REM.

So harsh accusations to be exposed as just a youtube comment. If you're sure that Michael Stipe has any link w/River Phoenix and Cobain's death, go to the courts or at least tell which are your evidences, not just talk shit. If you're just trolleing that's too deeply sick.
