@@philz7462 Why did he, as a mega basketball star/celebrity pay a random girl he had sex with besides his wife to not tell anyone he had consensual sex with her? Probably because everyone would bash him for cheating and being a piece of shit. Better yet, she came out and tried to get more money off him by saying he raped her because she blew that money instantly and wanted more. After all the bullshit with women falsely accusing men of raping them, I refuse to believe any of them at first glance without fair trial like everyone should. Kobe being the star he was helped him have a fair trial instead of just being locked up and having the key thrown away if that was me.

Thank you Michael for saying excellence is Kobe's legacy. That's what I feel. I'm a basketball and football fan and the players and coaches do so much more than people realize. Kobe was the epitome of excellence. He had a drive to be the best, but he wanted you to be the best too. He was giving to people to help them be better versions of themselves. He just retired, he has a newborn, he's so young, tragic. My heart goes out to Vanessa and her daughters and the families of the 7 other victims aboard the flight. RIP Kobe ❤ RIP Gianna❤

InfinityWard who’s to say whether he did or not.The woman chose to not bring the case to court. Either way he was not a perfect person, and perhaps shouldn’t be looked at as a role model because he cheated on his wife regardless of whether it was rape or not. But through his dedication to basketball he inspired millions of people. That should be celebrated, if nothing else. I respect your opinion though.

@globalcitizenn 4 жыл бұрын
InfinityWard He thought he had consent coz the woman led him to believe that initially. He made a mistake and learnt and grew from it to become an amazing dad to 4 daughters and did so much good. He apologised to that woman and paid her damages. It’s resolved and over. How many times will you punish a man over and over for the same mistake that he’s already grown from? Retraumatising the victim over and over by bringing it up everytime? You are defined by the good you do, not the mistakes you make in life as long as you make amends and learn your lessons.

Michael is right about Kobe and Excellence: "Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical and expecting more than others think is possible". My prayers go to all the families of those who passed away on the helicopter crash. Kobe is definitely a legend and an idol a lot of people look up too, but we have to remember that there were 8 other people on that plane too, and they have people that love them, including two 13 year old girls, who had so much life ahead of them. Please just keep all of them in your prayers. Like Michael said, we need to also celebrate their lives, because they would want us to be happy. I bet he is looking down right now smiling to see the impact he made, and I really hope they weren't in any pain. I think in a way this hardship can truly help us come closer together as people on this earth and realize what life is, and how we really need to love each other. What hits me even more, is seeing people's response to this, and it really makes you have more hope in humanity seeing people feel emotions with each other. I love all you guys, and lets all try to spread more love. (:

If there is only one "new leaf" that i could possibly turnover, at this point, I think Im going to have to play the selfless card, and start doing as much as I can for others. If there is ever one thing that I , myself, personally can gain, learn, or take away from this tragedy, ...it will have to be that!

Our sincere condolonces from Finland. May the victims rest in peace and our prayers and hearts go to the friends and family of those who passed. As a former Ice Hockey player KOBE was my idol growing up even though the sports are very different from each other. I remember when I was 10 years old and I visited Houston, I demanded that my father would purchase me a ticket to the Rockets game against the Lakers. And the most important thing for me was the see the warm up because I wanted to learn how Kobe prepared for the game. I was almost the first person in the building when they opened the doors. I never forget that day which was so inspirig to me.

JΛMΛ You’re a petulant child. How many people lose people? Everyone! My dad died unexpectedly of a heart attack slightly over a year ago you arrogant asshole. No one is exempt from loss! You think this is the first time a 13 year old was taken from their mother? I’m sure it has happened many times prior to you losing your faith. Yet you still had faith, or so you say. Nah, that’s an excuse, and it’s not a good one because plenty of people actually go through these things and much more yet still have faith.

A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is statistics. No disrespect to Kobe and the family but almost A BILLION animals died in australia and thousands and thousands of homes and people died. Similar thing happened in Brazil. Just a few weeks ago, A Ukrainian plane crashed in Iraq AND ANOTHER 170 PEOPLE DIED and even yesterday a plane crashed in the ISIS area in middle east with hundreds of people. Hundreds die everyday in syria and yemen. I DONT HAVE MORE WORDS.
