What a blessing we have Michael Hey at Marble Collegiate Church now. He is a master of the console and ranks and plays with such feeling. I look forward to his music every Sunday. As an organist myself I can say he is second to none!!

The music of my youthful years -- made me fall in love with the pipe organ and pursue a 50+ year career. Thank you, Michael, for keeping this beautiful repertoire alive. Hopefully, more young organists such as yourself will rediscover the golden age of American organ music.

My late mother tackled this one...and your settings are very similar. Played with feeling. My mother passed on Christmas Day. Thank you for sharing you gift.

I really like Richard Purvis's work and this piece is no exception and well played ! HOWEVER, all the talking and background noise is just dreadful ! At night, late, after all the people are out of the cathedral and the doors are bolted shut, then get the camera out and re-do the recording ! I would be glad to make a donation to help defray cost ! Exciting performance Michael ! Wow !

Rick ... it's a tourist attraction and they even walk and talk during recitals. Catholic musical mentality, although better, still has a long way to go.

Michael you are a wonderful musician and superb organist. I wish I could tell you this in private. I love this whimsical piece and your performance reminds me of a Mildred Andrews comment to one of her Fulbright students after she asked him why he was playing so fast and he responded because I can. She replied 'but I can't hear the music that fast'. Especially playing in such a live acoustic as St. Patrick's there are jovial sections, lush sections and the toccata. i missed the music, chord progressions, the tongue in cheek. I am also reminded of a comment at the 2016 OHS Philadelphia Convention about another young organist 'I would like to hear him play that in 15 years and see what tempo he plays it'. Please let the music speak to you and the listener.
