I like Luke's strategy on getting out front early because that's the key to beating him. If MVG keeps it close early we're in for a close match

MVG does win where most wouldn't but he does what he says in hitting the right double at the right time he's the best at situational darts. You have to be very consistent to beat him. But like most of you get out of top of MVG you can win but don't let him get in front. He has all the tactics to make you come unglued

Yeah that’s his ego thinking that. Absolute rubbish. Taylor even had a Matchplay title left in the tank in 2017 his final season. He also smashed MVG on route to the title so bad that Gerwen cried his eyes out backstage.
