Watching his fights and celebrations I thought he was a cocky showboater, but he is actually an amazingly kind and knowledgeable master of martial arts 😮😮😮
@xaphan85818 ай бұрын
Lol that’s what I use to think. I used to absolutely despise this guy and think he was a piece of shit. Now he probably one of my favorites. Plus if your friends with wonder boy I feel like that’s a good sign of character
@TvBoxHead2 ай бұрын
Sounds like a dumb thing to say. How can you showboat without martial knowledge in the first place? Showboating is typically reserved for the most experienced martial artist due to a huge skill gap between two fighters. I never seen an inexperienced fighter successfully showboat or flex against a much more experienced fighter and win.
@gabrielerivolta83202 ай бұрын
@@TvBoxHead wow man chill, what an aggressive reply, I think that showboating is something related to the ego of the fighter, I know some amateur fighters that are cocky and do showboating during simple sparring as well, it’s not related only to the skill level, maybe at high levels is only a facade for the sake of entertaining the crowd and intimidating the opponent…

If anyone has ever watched the anime called “Demon Slayer” there’s a character in the show that has a technique where he can see threads(as openings)that are attached to himself and his sword, as well as his opponents. I took inspiration from that and used it into my mma training philosophy, basically everything this entire video has stated as well as a few other additions. Basically there’s thread attached to the “4 instruments of Striking” i like to call it (Hands,Elbows,Knees,Feet) depending on multiple variables such as both fighters stance, reach adv, fighting style and etc. For instance, one ive seen and used, my opponent is using his lead hand to blind or disrupt the vision, usually that can be a thread directly to the jaw if angled correctly. Using a straight line down the inside of the arm directly to the chin. Just a quick example i used personally and seen used in a UFC fight(cant remember the fight) i just find it crazy that an anime show could lead me close to the same theory as a professional mma fighter. Ill be brushing up on my “Thread Method” philosophy now that i seen this. Btw You’re the GOAT brother!

When you're in Orthodox ( opponent also orthodox) and you bounce in and out. Does your front foot act as a feint? If so do you set up based shots off their reactions to it? And if they stop reacting to it, do you then just lead on them? Also: if you were to be a southpaw (open stance matchup), how would you setup your in and out to deal with the open stance footing? As in would you bounce in and out on the outside or inline with the opponents foot or on the inside?
@jaxsantiago14979 ай бұрын
Is there any changes to this if your orthodox and your opponents southpaw? Would you just step to the left when you cut the angle after the jab if they were southpaw?
