I don't feel so bad about obsessively zooming in on things when I'm filming now that I know that Michael does the same thing.

Wow it takes a lot of dedication to run 9 miles even after the treadmill tells you to cool down. GREAT JOB MICHAEL. Ps this is my favorite veda so far

I really enjoyed this video. (I enjoy all of your videos but I enjoyed this one a lot in particular.) I think so often when people vlog or I think about blogging, I feel like their needs to be some sort of theme or central idea. For me personally sometimes feels a little constructed. And not to say there are no themes in this video but I found it just beautiful to be shown a view into what seems to be a normal day. It feels so relaxed and at the same time, it is damn hilarious. It looks like you guys just have a lot of fun and it was truly a pleasure to get a chance to be a part of it. Thank you Michael!

Actually, longer arms should work against you. It's actually reverse-leverage or something like that. My terminology is probably wrong, but the point is the strength is being applied from your elbow joint so it's actually mechanical DISadvantage. Shorter arms would suffer less from that so it seems like they'd be preferable for arm-wrestling. Check into that and do a video!

RE: Batteries - yes! We do have better things! And we're developing new betterer things all the time! Have you heard of ULTRACAPACITORS?!?!?! They're BALLER! However, it's handy to have standards, so big square 9 volts will probably be a thing until there's some sort of massively disruptive technology that displaces them. I vote for ZPMs from stargate.

Silly question: Why don't you queue your SciShow uploads using the "Scheduled Publishing" feature that KZbin has? If I have that option, I'm sure you guys do. :)
@AliJDB10 жыл бұрын
Maybe he was uploading it using that feature (and it being private) but someone else who's job it is to do things like annotations, end slates, etc needed it up quickly so they could do their part? My best guess anyway! :P

@michaelaranda10 жыл бұрын
The SciShow News episodes have a pretty short turn-around time; they generally just get uploaded and published as soon as they're done. For the other, less time-sensitive uploads, we use scheduled publishing.
@GaviLazan10 жыл бұрын
***** Well, that makes sense. BTW, about a camera- I don't know what your budget is, but if you are willing on ignoring the CCD vs CMOS issue the Sony PXW-Z100 and Sony NEX-EA50UH look like good options. I'm looking for a similar camera for my own use, I'm currently using my school's SONY HXR-NX5U and it's pretty good- though it can get quite heavy and doesn't have any 60p options. Edit: It seems that the NX5U does have 60p recording at 720p, but I just couldn't find it in the menu...
