My dad always taught me that a simple bump and run style shot with a 7i or 8i is going to be a lot more consistent than trying to be Phil Mickleson and trying to hit it up in the air and spin back to the hole! That one lesson dropped my scores dramatically and instantly. I used it for a while before I ever started grabbing a P or 52 or 56. Once you get good at basic chips then you can start playing with more spin and more advanced shots. Another great video Brissy ⛳️

Great video, nice and simple. I try to follow this logic as much as I can. I use anything from 6i to wedge for it based on the ratio of rough/fairway compared to green in total distance. Total distance itself doesn't change the club selection only the power used.

@BrisGolf haha I only find time to scour around so often. But I have watched several vids now. Hoping to break 80 this year, course management is the key! 🧏‍♂️

Thanks, I needed this. I usually use a 9I for chipping and had good success but recently got a 52 and 56 wedge and thought “I should be using those now that I have them for chipping…” Well..my chipping is now off. Going back to my 8I or 9I unless I’m chipping over a bunker the next time I play. I feel like I was trying to get too fancy with my newer wedges and it bit me.
