The main window is the 3D Viewport. In the upper right corner of this window are 4 buttons for the various Viewport Shading modes. The first two modes, Wireframe and Solid, do not display an object's color. The last two modes, Material Preview and Rendered, do display an object's color.

when I try to import images as mesh plane, it uploads in a grey box and not the image is appearing why. It is in material view port only?

What process are you using to import images?

@@MichaelBullo ah Well, I am using image as mesh plane in the new blender 4.2 version. Simply opened a new scene and when I try to do this it is simply greyed out. But I could see the picture in the right side of the menus.
