Hey! Thank you for this and all of your videos. I was wondering if you have some literature recommendations for this approach to NBO theory. All I can find is a very mathematical approach.

Hi michael, can you explain Why is it is possible to use NBOS for energy diagrams and transitions? Attached is an article that says that only the canonical orbitals are the orbitals that we need to understand the energy differences between levels / orbitals. is that the approxmation that you mention? thank you!
