"Don't speak unless it improves the silence" is such a golden rule for sure. I have overheard so many things that could ruin people's reputations, all because I am the quiet, unassuming one they trust to never tell a soul. Holding this power isn't useful to me, but it's something interesting. Because I am the quiet one, people tell me everything about them. On the flip side, I don't let them know anything about me. Just because I have no use to sabotage them with their secrets, doesn't mean they won't use mine against me.
@dazzlernator2 жыл бұрын
I agree. I would add that not speaking unless it improves the silence is a good showing of restraint. I find it distasteful when people only talk about banalities, especially when they try to rationalise it under a pretence of "just trying to find conversation". I value peace and silence much of the time.

Do a video on a day in the life of an average soldier. Captains and other higher-ups spend their day, networking, meeting, and working on things. What about a guy who wasn’t as good of a racketeer? How would he spend two weeks earning? Taking bets? Loans? Running around on collections? How often was an average guy called in for muscle? how does that lead to them being able to make a living? It’s cool hearing what it’s like to be a millionaire boss, but what’s it like being a guy out trying to earn

Mr. Franzese, this video had a lot to offer & resonates a great deal with me. My dad always expressed an annoyance by loud, obnoxious people & mentioned several times throughout our lives how the more guys would go on about themselves, the least they have to be confident about. I've learned these things early on but am far from having mastered them. I am employed in the local gov't Engineering field & outside of that I enjoy a life in the car culture; building them, having fun with them... The thing I try to practice when possible, is to surround myself with folks who know a heck of a lot more than me, in both those arenas. Very few wiser word have been spoken than the words you've spoken. I am thankful for all that you have share, good sir. Thanks again & God bless!

My pops used to tell me stories about how his dad (who died before I was born) used to run books for the Lucchese Family and used to pick up a check at a corner cafe like he worked there. Never believed the stories until he showed me pictures of some Family members with his dad picking him as a kid from school a black 1950 Cadillac. My father wound up working a corner for Nicky Barnes…. Taught me a lot of street wisdom but always said how it was never worth to stay clean it, while we watched our yearly Godfather marathon. He always told me stories and what he respected from the families and for me to learn from was, always follow the rules and you will be ok and successful with your boss whether it’s street boss or legit company boss, always follow the rules and accountability for what you do.
