He ventured forth, searching for anything that could be of solace in this place, but all he found were more souls, also bereft of scars or shackles, but shrieking in sorrow nonetheless. After a while, he saw the demons that called this world their home. They bore human-like faces and arms, albeit with fangs and claws, but their bodies seemed to be made of tendril-like strands of thick, black smoke that made cracking noises whenever a strand extended, explaining the whips he thought he had heard. The demons growled and laughed and mocked him, and he began to understand: the torture in Hell was not the product of whips, or chains, or hooks, or any other instrument that would have little effect on spirits to begin with. It came from the despair of being trapped in such a lifeless, joyless world without any hope of release, and knowing that you could have escaped damnation, but you didn't - and there was no one to blame but yourself for that.

You're mistaken. Fire as a nice touch? No. Its needed. Although its more feirce than this. You are right about the screams, depending on what part you want. However, if you have too much, you cover up the sweet sound of people crying miserably. Also, you need more cries. Relize some demons in Hell are torched as well, kay? All those sounds together are what make it give off a homely touch like never before, having the warth surround you unlike Earth's freezing coldness. Even 3 jackets in the middle of summer, as well as jeans and a scarf, never warmed me up.
