Taj's first album Chapter One was #2 on Billboard Blues charts and #1 on iTunes worldwide blues charts. It is under consideration for a Grammy. He opened a few shows for Buddy Guy and played with him. He will be performing with the Jimi Hendrix Experience tour for a few shows. I finally was able to go to 2 of his shows. It's hard to articulate how amazing Taj is. When he's playing you see him feeling each note and you feel them too. He's pne of the best I've seen in 50 years of going to concerts. I've seen a lot of great guitar players but there is something special about Taj. It's hard to explain. Where you visit with him, he's a very nice easy to talk to teen. Onstage he's special. His parents are so nice. They're a humble but dynamic family. His sister plays the drums but has been working on the keyboard and will be releasing her song soon.

Young fella certainly has some skill!! Talking of young guys with skill. Did you ever come across Nathan Cavaleri? A absolute genius on a guitar. He was all over tv down here when he was 10 years old... Probably 20 years ago. Haven't heard too much about him lately. I think he's been living in the US for quite a while. As a kid he played with BB King, Mark Nofler, Booker T. You name it. Love your show.

Taj recently was the star guest performer at the celebration they had in Minneapolis for Prince's 40th anniversary release of Purple Rain. Taj was able to listen to some of Prince's unreleased music in the vault. He also was able to record in Prince's recording studio and tour his home. Taj played at the street fair they had for fans, opened for Morris Day and NPG at the State Theater and played Purple Rain with NPG at the end of the night. He also performed at Paisley Park. Taj was asked by Prince's estate curator to play a lesser known Prince song The Ride...incredible and cheeky for 15 lol. Loved it! These are all under Taj's KZbin channel. He's also recently changed a bit how he plays Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways. He just makes ot better. Taj is fun to watch because he's always changing his playing a bit. I'm sure it's part of his emotions. He said he plays the notes so people recognize the song and then he plays so you know how he's feeling. He's playing at a number of festivals this summer and opening for Buddy Guy at a few of his shows. Taj's album is being released next month. So far he's had 6 original songs go to #1 on iTunes blues charts. They are Crossroads, Cruz, Bad Trip, House Always Wins, 2x2 and I Give Up.

Taj is 14 I believe. And at the end of his third USA tour. A long arduous journey following in the footsteps of many that go before him. He would be quite weary and can be forgiven for dropping a few notes. Which probably went largely unnoticed by the audience after a few silky-smooth solos. He'll be back home here in Australia visiting his extended family soon. But the whole family will return here with an awakened sense of achievement. Watch this space.

You were lucky you heard the whole thing. Most of the time he breaks that high E string right after the long feedback note. He also sings & writes his own music. If he does a cover, its because the song is that good. This one is his mum & dads fave. He was 14 1/2 at this show. He was invited to play with The Jimi Hendrix Experience. He's doing 3 shows with them this week.
