QuickTime Recording: How to Fix Left-Speaker-Only Microphone Audio (Mac)

Is the microphone recording you made using QuickTime Player only playing out of your left speaker? In this tutorial, I show you a simple way to fix that problem, using Apple GarageBand, the digital music studio that comes bundled with your Mac.

I've been hearing from folks who've had problems with the microphone audio in their QuickTime Player screen recordings: microphone sound only coming out of the left speaker. I have a nice Bluetooth mono headset mic that I wanted my wife to use for real estate walkthroughs, and I couldn't figure out, besides adding hardware adapters, with the extra crackling sounds that more jacks and plugs add, and couldn't figure out a simple way to combine the tracks.
