I have been on both sides of that fence -- 36 years Protestant and now 3 years Catholic. I will tell you this much: if faithful Catholics are not going to heaven, then nobody is! For theirs is the original Christianity, the sacraments, the call to cooperate with Christ's grace, the teachings of the Apostles and Saints, etc., etc. The first 1500 years of Christianity were Catholic and closely-related Orthodox -- there was NO Protestantism, and all Protestantism comes out of Catholicism. But yes, even the Catholic Church teaches that there will be some Protestants who will make it to heaven as well. As with the Catholics who make it, they will be the Christians who lived sincere, obedient, and faithful lives with a clear conscience before God -- ONLY. Because insincerity, hypocrisy, and lukewarmness happen on both sides, and those people are NOT likely to make it! This is very biblical.

Matthew 21-23 speaks of men who declared themselves righteous and boasted those works as their own when indeed their heart lacked faith. Its a warning and reminder that any works done through faith are not those of your own but those of God. No works of true faith are produced by yourself, but by the Holy Spirit guiding your heart, soul and mind. Therefore any works you do will not count even for a second when it comes time of judgement, because those were not of your own. Only your true faith determines salvation. It is true many misunderstand doctrine/scripture, and it’s on us to guide them to the truth, not by sowing division and encouraging one to leave a church for another, but to lead each other into truth and to keep guiding those around us to true and sole faith in Christ. The only sacrifice that can save you was the one that Christ made on that cross.

Also, I have some words of encouragement in the midst of whats going on. Don't forget the Gospel is for Christians too. Its long because I've tried to and any faqs! Why does evil exist (and how can it be fixed), how is the whole "Jesus dying" thing really relevant to anything? To you? let me know if you have any questions. First, what is evil? Well, the Bible calls it the breaking of God's laws - and God intends for this world to be perfect in every way. Every one of us have lied, stolen (even tiny things count), spoken badly to our parents and had embarrassing thoughts in our thought life. The Bible calls this "sin", the breaking of God's laws. You might think, so what? Everyone lies and thinks bad things about others! Its human! You're right. That's exactly what the Bible says, we're "born into sin" and that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23 Notice something? God's intent for us APPEARS to be the exact OPPOSITE of human nature and desires! God's standard for us is perfection, so if we were made in "God's image", Why don't we meet it then? . Well, Remember Adam and Eve and when they sinned. Before sin they were perfect in thought word and DEED completely, just as God intended, and they had a perfect relationship with Him. ALL was perfect in every way. But after the first sin occured due to Satan's tempting in the Garden, it destroyed that part of us that was morally perfect and in harmony with God. Satan took over these things and so while we kept certain things, the ability to be thinking individuals with unique personalities, the moral part (affecting how our thoughts, actions and personalities operate) was damaged, making those same standards now seem unreasonable and impossible and opposite. The Bible says "apart from God we can do nothing". Without Him, it will 100% feel "opposite" and alien to us. Only WITH Him can we gain victory in these things. Why doesn't God just let sin off and leave it? The Bible describes God as a "righteous judge", many wonder why God doesn't just let sin off and leave it, but He can't. Why? That's like a if a judge let off a murderer who broke the state law. Everyone would call Him corrupt, saying that he had not done right and that the judge should be fired for failing to punish the murderer for his evil. AND to completely love and be good as God is, means you need to, in turn, hate all forms of evil. You can't truly love good unless you hate the existence of evil. This means that God needed, as a righteous judge to punish sin with the ultimate penalty of death - expressing His hatred of evil - and separation from His presence forever. "The soul that sins shall die" - Ezekiel 18:20 BUT God, who is also perfect love, did not want to see His creation tortured and cut off from Him. He cares so much for is that He couldn't bear to see us fall into Satans hands and suffer death in Hell. Because of justice, God could not leave sin and evil unpunished, BUT because of LOVE, God provided someone else to take that punishment on our behalf, satisfying both justice (by punishing the evil committed), and love (by sparing OUR lives) despite our sin. God sent His own SON - think about that. His *Son*, the one whom He loved infinitely (the same way He loves us) to do it in our place. God allowed Him to take ALL of Gods wrath for every single sin you and I have committed. He was punished brutally and completely so that we do not have to be punished. Back in the courtroom scenario: He paid the "fine" at His own expense (His life had to be morally perfect on this Earth, then He had to be killed as a sinless sacrifice on our behalf). So when He returns to remove all evil from the face of the Earth, we can be spared because Christ has already BEEN punished on our behalf. He then rose again on the third day, conquering not only life and sin and temptation, but DEATH. GOD HAS POWER OVER DEATH. "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live" - John 11:25,26 Religion = rules to be saved The gospel = Christ saved us already we just have to believe it by faith alone in Christ alone. If you lack faith (as I did before), pray. He will make it strong in time. Trust Him as you would trust those close to you. He created you and knows you inside out. Not only that but we can be restored to Him and recreated into His moral image AGAIN as long as we accept Jesus having paid the price for us and accept Him as our Lord, the one who is in the front seat of our lives. He has a plan for your life, He's created you for a purpose. A purpose that includes being recreated into His image, one you can only accomplish through Him and reliance on His power and by following HIS way of life. It entails love, true love and service and aid to others, to "love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength" and "love your neighbour as you love yourself" Matthew 22:37, 39. Sharing the message of Christ's death, resurrection and soon return on this Earth to give justice OR mercy depending on what the person chose. This is NOT something we can do alone. It's not in our nature. We need a new nature in the front seat, and the first step is to repent (turn from and reject our sin, pursuing the opposite direction and drawing close to God). Christ will give us an actual DESIRE to do these things. Through the Holy Spirit, sent by Him after the ascension. He speaks to us through thoughts of love and truth and conviction, verses, ideas, prayers and He guides us so that we gain a desire to follow God and be able to do these "opposite" things through Him. "With man it is impossible, but with God, NOTHING is impossible!" - Matthew 19:26 He will help you to walk a path of commitment and love - its not rules and regulations to save us - what Christ did gave us salvation. But the fruits of the Spirit and the will to obey and follow Him come from true, maturing faith. Its a lifelong process of God bringing you back to Him and away from the destructive pleasures of sin. This process takes a *lifetime*, but NEVER give up, when you fall, know Christ paid for that sin already - just acknowledge your sin and ask for forgiveness - and you can get back up again because He already bore your guilt and shame. Regardless of what it is God can turn it around. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whomever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life" - John 3:16 Thanks for reading if you did. The Catholic church is also the largest charitable organization after the government, they teach virtue, never got any thing pertaining to virtue in Protestantism. Mary and the saints are in heaven with God ( a saint is a person who confirmed their life to Christ on earth and has died and gone to heaven) so we ask the saints and mary to intercede in our prays. We basically ask them to pray for us like you might ask a friend. I go to a Catholic school and at the end of the day we have our pray and we always say Saint Pierre Georgio pray for us.

Jesus has promised that the gates of Hell will not prevail against His Church (Matthew 16:18), He will always be with his Church (Matthew 28:20) and since Jesus himself is the truth (John 14:6) and sends us the Spirit of truth (John 16:13) which guides the Church as she is the bulwark and truth (1 Tim 3:15). To go even further more in Ephesians 1:20-23, “ which he accomplished in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come; 22 and he has put all things under his feet and has made him the head over all things for the church, 23 which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all in all.” The Church of Jesus Christ is the fullness of Christ which demonstrates that the Church is not only the defender and upholder of truth but the fullness of the truth. The question is, can the fullness of truth degenerate? No, because we trust in His promise, Ephesians 3:21-“to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.” The oldest Church must be the Church that Jesus founded that is faithful to his teachings. So, how can different churches be the true church of Christ? It’s not only contradicting Christ establishing just one Church, but it’s illogical to believe that different churches can proclaim to be the true Church of Christ.

I love his non-judgemental approach to Catholics where a lot of Protestants get wrong on. We are Christian’s, actually the first ones. That’s important bc Christ established only 1 church and to receive His word, true grace & salvation. The Catholic Church is the one church that has remained faithful, the same and firm. Created by Jesus Christ himself unlike the Protestant Reformation like Martin Luther, Calvin, etc. Our church teachings follow the Bible more than any other Protestant church “Christian” does like in John 6:47-69, we MUST eat Jesus Flesh in order to have life and we are the only church that does that and has done that since 33 AD. I feel much much better, and want to find a PROPER establishment to help me learn the words of the Lord, not words twisted by flesh. He has given us a beautiful church, and the instructions on how to live in this world. Catholicism rocks. Just asked Saint Peter. There was no other idea of another church for 1500 years.
