These videos have helped me out a lot! I really appreciate the level of depth you go into in your explanations on the entire specialized masters program process and in your overall med school experience.

Thank you so much for this informative video. I actually opted for a post bacc with a linkage and currently finishing in finals and the MCAT. Honestly it’s paid off extremely well for me that my chances of getting into medical school in the United States are much higher - previous students who did the post bacc that got into medical school said it was a great help for them. I can confirm this having watched your video on this topic before and after doing a post bacc.

Hey I appreciate you being really raw and honest about your master’s program. Do you feel nearly everyone who earned 3.6 gpa received an acceptance? Or did some people who made it to the interviews (and maintained 3.6 gpa) still end up getting rejected
@ERdoctorMike4 жыл бұрын
Almost everyone was accepted as long as you weren’t weird in your interview and maintained an overall gpa of 3.5. There is still a small chance people won’t be accepted after an interview.

Would you say that the program prepared you more for medical school than those who came straight out of undergrad?
@ERdoctorMike4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Hard to imagine doing Med school right out of undergrad.

Hey Michael, I’ll be enrolled in the fall at KCU. During the masters program are there any actual homework assignments? Or is it strictly studying for exams?

Hey if you don't mind what were your stats. I want to do an SMP and KCU is my first choice
@SuperMendii3 жыл бұрын
My cumulative is a 2.9 is it still worth to do an SMP??
@ERdoctorMike3 жыл бұрын
Most likely yes, but your mcat is another factor.

Hi Michael! You said that a SMP is basically a full-time job. How were you able to pay your rent and utilities if you couldn’t get a part-time job?
@ERdoctorMike4 жыл бұрын
Youll need to take out loans just as you would for medical school. It will require all your time.

@minervasanchez-tenorio3531 you should apply for FAFSA and use that money to pay for school and any additional expenses (like rent, etc) while attending school

Thanks for sharing bro. What’s your opinion of Touro in the Bay Area, CA? I’m considering applying to their special masters program in the next few months. Also, is it common for students who excelled at their special masters program at a DO school to apply to MD schools as well as DO schools? I’m considering special master’s programs at MD schools and DO schools and would like to apply to both types of medical schools upon completion of my masters.
