Thanks Michael I needed this today. I just found out my step mother is very sick and not expected to live long. She bought me my first transformer in 1984 and gave me a devastator set for christmas. I needed those memories today. You have a magical ability to bring me right back to being 8 years old and seeing these for the very first time.

@Michael Mercy Thank you for compiling and producing this. I'm very aware of all the time and effort involved to produce and edit a video (Adobe Premiere Pro and photography time) like this. So I understand your blood, sweat and tears you put into each video you put out. This is the best and most comprehensive video for the subject. And thank you for not going over the top with the humor. Your level of humor is tolerable unlike a lot of other toy channels. Looking forward to seeing 1986 and 1987 Edition videos soon! (Transformers 1987 series is no joke to collect. lol The damn Targetmasters and Headmasters are not easy to find complete and near-mint/mint.)

Great video!!! I am super impressed with this series of videos looking at the Transformers year by year. I wish you would do the same for Zoids. I owned both the Radio Shack Galactic Man and their version of the Zoid Mammoth. The problem with Galactic Man for me was after straightening out into gun mode, he would often go limp with the barrel slowly moving toward the ground, greatly reducing the threat level against evil siblings.

I had the blue Jumpstarter (Topspin) and even as a 9 year old, I knew the concept was kinda stupid and plain. But...you take whatever G1 TFs you could get. Yer not gonna say, "No mooooom, I don't want this Jumpstarter cuz it's LAME-O!" I even got a Go Bot from a family member (the motorbike guy, main character in the cartoon) and I was happy to get it. I just pretended it was an inferior TF.

Hey Michael, if you ever run out of show ideas, i think you can do a "versus" series. You can compare strengths and weaknesses of the combatants in a hypothetical battle. Win. lose. Draw. Add supporting battle footage from the cartoons and your own models. You will have more great content for us. Maybe take requests too. All the classics like metroplex vs tripticon, Megatron vs Optimus, bumblebee vs ravage(?).

WOW! My brother......................................you did an excellent job on this and the 1984 version! Man I watched both with a HUGE smile on my face the entire time because it really put me back to a time when life was "great" (as a 9/10 year old when there was nothing in life that mattered other than getting home from school in time to watch transformers). Watching this also reminds me of a sad "situation". In 1994 when it was time for me to go to university I had a very nice transformer collection (which included my beloved Omega Supreme). My thought at the time was that I would keep them so that whenever I had a son, he will be able to see what his dad played with. Any way, after my first year of university, I came home to find that my mother "gave" my transformers away to a younger cousin. This person did not/could not appreciate MY TRANSFORMERS and he destroyed them! It seriously took me about 5 years to forgive my mother for this! Man, this really hurt me. But I am determined to get all of my transformers back and then some. If that collection is solely yours, all I can say is WOW! Again man, great job on the video and thank you for taking me back to a time when life was simple and marvelous!
