Based on the data, that's a big win for Callaway. Faster ball speed with slower swing speed. Higher launch with lower spin and more distance with tighter dispersion.

Numbers didn’t seem too much different honestly and he said he didn’t hit the QI quite as well on a few strikes. Bottom line they both seem great. Can’t wait to give them a swing and see what one works best with my swing. The QI is a thing of beauty

Carbon face still slightly slower. Found the same comparing Paradym TD vs Stealth2 plus drivers I own. I wonder if they'll give that up eventually, but hard to back out now they've committed so much R and D and marketing.

I love your club reviews Michael. Just looking at the table results, I would say that the Callaway offered a bit more consistency in this test, the std dev on the landing angles were lower for it vs the TM. Looks like the AI Face is truly offering some incremental benefits on stabilizing strikes.

Love the review as always. Very precise and factual. The new TM driver "cosmetically" looks amazing. The Callaway also looks very good and its great to see them moving away from the shiny gloss type head. I always have to ask myself though, with the major players (with the exception of Ping, Srixon & some others) I wonder how much better these are with so many releases each year. I would think a 2yr turn around on Drivers is a much better benchmark. Either way, well done Michael, another quality (unbias) review!!!

I’ve now learnt that I don’t care what the club looks like if it works for my swing then I like it. I’ve always been a Callaway fan when it comes to drivers. I currently play the Rogue ST D.

Can one replace the weights on either of these drivers with heavier ones? I always change out grips with a Midsize and two wraps which changes the swing weight so I add about 4 grams to the head. Easy to do if heavier weights are available. Thanks for the review. Too bad so many don't seem to understand that cold weather slows one down, but that it is the same for both drivers so the review is completely relevant.

Great review, would it be worth posting the “heat map” picture of strike to give us a clue on where the difference of strike location was? Maybe switch the TM weights to optimise spin? Both obviously solid, not sure how much they improve on last year!

I upgraded my irons and Wedges with another set Callaway’s in December last year so I’ll be getting fitted for the Elyte driver and a hybrid too. They make great clubs any performance enhancing attributes or issues are down to me.😂

I have both brands, one xr16 and a M2. Both with a 60 gr standard shaft. Bought them second hand 4-6 years ago. And the last 3 years I've been to the biggest retailer here with a very advanced indoor test equipment with my both drivers, and tested them against the new ones. And at my slow swing speed there's almost no difference between my old and the latest drivers. Last time was 8 months ago. It was 1-2 yards more in carry in difference, spin about 500rpm lower in the latest, and almost nothing in how bad hits went. I don't know, but I really find it hard to motivate their very expensive prices...

What kind of ball are you using? Seeing some strikes dead out of the middle getting 1.44/1.45 smash factors. Pretty unusual for that kind of strike.

I've played both and enjoyed both brands. That being said there is no way I will touch either of these drivers for at least 3 years when you can get them for 1/2 price

It all comes down to price. Both will be too expensive for us mere mortals, but we will still buy them. Prices continue to sky rocket. Great comparison! I’m kind of glad you weren’t swinging to your ability. It shows us how a slower club speed/ball speed reacts to each driver.

How much does he have to repeat that it was cold day of this review. Anyway, Michael's carry has always been just over 280 on good days and less on poor/cold days. I ignore roll, so long as height is reasonable.

Even since the days of the Callaway X Hot and the bomb stickers they put everywhere, Callaway has always felt like a marketing company disguised as a golf company, Their marketing presence is frankly annoying. They all do it but not to their degree. If all things are equal I'll always choose "other", and in this case, TM.

Iv got a QI10 9.5 degree and also (bargain and couldn’t let it pass) a ping g430 max Iv just been dropped to playing off 3 at the end of the summer played his game since 1985 as just a new pastime Long and short is about these drivers now is NO scratch or low player on the course won’t see anything different than the above mentioned or past drivers. sorry but you will convincing yourselves to justice getting one over the Qi 10 unless you are on the next level above a scratch player (+) then other than wanting a new bat keep your money saying that I’ll probably buy one 😂 just to say my cats blacker than yours 😂😂😂😂 this year
