Well for me the new Pearl Jam album Dark Matter was a highlight maybe not classic rock but for a band around 30+ years it is a strong album. No action from the three Led Zeppelin members so YES this film is very welcomed in 2025. I did get to see Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks and it was great plus the BEAT tour, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Iron Maiden, Plant & Krauss many more so it was a great concert year at least for me. ( many live clips and videos I did on my channel on these). This film will only cover the rise of the band to 1970 it is going to be 2 hours of glory !!!!! The film will only go up to 1970 there will not be 1975 footage from what hear. Think about it, to tell the proper story of the film it would be like the Get Back film you need about 3-4 hour of segments haha and I would love that. .....to answer your question HELL YES I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS I already got my tickets for 5th early showing and the 7th grand opening showing yup two nights!!!! Thanks for the shoutout !!!! Great to see you brother !!!!

@@MichaelNoland-TheBottomLine if zeppearl is correct (and there is nothing out there to doubt him)...during that specific time period (1969-1970)....the movie audience will witness the greatest singer for all then and now ...plant had the pipes to complement/enhance what turned out to be THE music of all ages...i believe it was his voice (unlike no other) that perfectly matched what jimmys intent of the music was to become...plant in the live performances hit highs that were higher than even the studio versions with even more soul...the live performances during the 1968 - 1971 era (especially on the west coast) were sonic...jimmys tone at that time were iconic...i believe...once you experience LZ...no other bands/or music come close...i will be in attendance no matter what the movie distribution plans are...the only wish i have is that michael is correct in that later time periods are catured with narratives by the band...if anything, maybe jimmy will reproduce some of the live bootleg performances to be placed on digital media...blueberry hill (1970), osaka (1971), seattle (1977), texas (1975) NYC (1970)...etc...i also hope to see peter grant in the film...he deserves some time in the film.

I’ve loved Led Zeppelin for about 50 years, sadly never got to see them live. I was to young when they were in my area, & when I was a teen they played to far away, when I could drive they didn’t play in the US. I saw TSRTS when it first came out, I’d give up all the concerts I did see, just to see Led Zeppelin once. They were still are & always be, THE GREATEST BAND EVER! Already bought my ticket for the new movie, & I have to drive pretty far to go see it, we’ll worth it though.

I got my tix for Febuary 7 going to see it twice that day and many more !! I`m 54 and was lucky to see them 20 times last time was in 2007 that was 17 yeasrs in December. I have 750 bootleg Led Zeppelin cd`s . The bootleg market will never stop with Zeppelin. I was so stoked to finally get clean versions of When The Levee Breraks and Four Sticks this year !! Now if I can find a version of The Rover live I`ll be in heaven ..

LZ need to release the WHOLE career of the band.. this can't be all. Led Zeppelin were the biggest band of 70's this new doc is the beginning of their career. 1972 throughout 1977 thats the height of their popularity and their Mysterious journey. Jimmy has already said he is not talking about wild stories or even Bonzo's death in 1980. Definitely excited though for ANYTHING Led Zeppelin.

Zeppelin has been my favorite band since I was 12 years old (in1986). I've read/watched so many unauthorized biographies & documentaries about them that it's great that there is finally an authorized project. I totally agree that Zep was about the music first and foremost. All you gotta do is listen to it, you can tell that a lot of work went into that. The way they would improvise and extend their songs live is a perfect example. Yeah, there are all the wild and crazy tales about the sex and drugs, but the Rock n' Roll came first.

@keitha.563 No, I wished I could have worked for 'em, but just a young fan who wanted to learn Jame's way of playing guitar, which I did. Ma & Pa worked in the industry, so that made it easy to get tix, logistics, etc. Started playing guitar at 7, showed an amazing aptitude for it, so they helped me in my endeavors. When it was time for my attempt at a deal, (1976)I did not like any of what I saw or heard, or was offered. So my band and I went on the underground circuits(USA, Europe)and did quite well for ourselves. Only live music CD's, at the venues only. Retired in 2004 due to the beginning of health problems. Those 28 years were great. Thanx for your thoughts. I've had a great life, and would not trade it for anything. Peace & Music. LedHed Pb 207.20 🎶 🎸 🎹

When I was still a toddler, I was presented with the Beatles who became my favorite band- until I turned 13 and got hammered in the face with Led Zeppelin. I dropped the Beatles like a hot potato and never looked back. I wasn't old enough to see Zep live, but I did go see both of the Firm tours with Jimmy and Page/Plant in '95, along with seeing Plant live a couple of times. I've been waiting and waiting for this doc to come out ever since Page went public and planted the seed about it. I've seen just about every doc available about LZ but they have all been loaded with misinformation, DISinformation and inaccuracies of every kind. At long last, we will finally get the gold standard here!

Not the January ‘69 Fillmore shows but the April 24 & 27 gigs…are THE boots to hear IMO. I’ve heard blurbs over the years that it was Billy Graham himself who recorded these two shows. If anybody, Bill intuitively knew they were gonna be MONSTROUS. It sounds like an early SB tape as compared to someone sitting out 30’ away with a tape recorder. The night of the 24th we hear the bass amp crap out - and Robert attempting to keep the crowd occupied while they hooked up a new rig for Jones. The Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You from this night is phenomenal. Bonzo and Jones executing there parts with whiplash precision. The 27th features an AMAZING bass run by Jones during Train during Jim’s solo! It’s a must hear! This guy is beyond GOOD.

My 2 favorite current bands: Band Maid, and The Warning, put out terrific albums this year, so I’m good. Both bands are young, creative, full of energy, ambition, and talent. And there are other young bands out there that I keep getting introduced to which are full of promise, IMO. This doesn’t mean I don’t still love classic bands like Zeppelin, but they can’t be, and I don’t need them to be, a source of musical enthusiasm and excitement for me. As great as they were, that’s just it… it’s all been done decades ago. Anything released now is not going to be fresh or overly exciting. NOTE: I’m just saying I wasn’t disappointed this year, so this documentary doesn’t need to make up for anything. But, if it’s as good as advertised, I will be excited to see it.

I really hope the outside world of Jimmy’s non-productivity the past number of years Will begin to explode in February with this film being the Genesis of that hopefully there will be some type of Fillmore West April 27, 1969 footage or the August 31 Texas State fair professional footage cleaned up and released because both of those sound boards are incredible! I know it’s not “rock, but David Gilmour’s Luck and Strange”. Has allot of beauty in it. I missed his concert at the Hollywood Bowl: That’s one that got away. Ditto Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani et al. Did see Eagles at The Sphere. Yeah, I know you have an ax to grind there, Michael, but it was pretty effing amazing.

From the Beatles camp, I still think that you should get that Mind Games release…. You could’ve still gotten any of the other sets other than the heightened Yoko/Sean cube project. I bet you if it was a McCartney release, you still would’ve gotten something from the other array of iteration choices…… same thing for the Lennon album, goes for Harrison album.

Hi Michael. Maybe to clarify, this film ends in the 1970. Some fans may think it’s more of a complete biography- although the title maybe hinting at just the pre and formative years.

Loved Beatles ‘64. Just watched it again last night. Loved that they dealt a lot with The Beatles influence on the Black Artists and fans and vice versa. Great to hear the Motown artists of the day talking about the Beatles. Motown Artists were a big part of the music scene. I don’t understand why people were so turned off by this historical film. Led Zeppelin were also influenced by Black Artists of the day

Classic Rock as we know it is all but dead! The industry itself is killing it. All we have now mostly is bubble gum music. I don't know which is worse elevator music or todays crap. I'll take the elevator music over what's being produced today. Certainly there are exceptions, but they are far in between. One in every 10,000 albums released are decent albums. The rest you couldn't pay me have them. Classic rock stopped after grunge type rock took hold, soon after that pretty much faded out. The recording industry needs a total revamp. Until then, I'll just keep listening to 30-65 yr old classic rock. The best music on the planet!

2024 pales in comparison to 2023. There were so many new releases by classic rock bands, including the freakin' Beatles, and a fine new album by the Rolling Stones. 2024 has been good, though, because we got the new Mind Games, Living in the Material World, and One Hand Clapping, plus the "Daytime Revolution" documentary. I'm looking forward to Led Zeppelin documentary, and the Bob Dylan movie.

Last year we also got a "new" Beatles song, a new one from Billy Joel, and a new Stones album. As far as an official anthology like the Beatles, I wouldnt hold your breath. We all know Plant probably will show little interest in contributing and Pagey being notoriously lazy wont get past the beginning stages. Plus, LZ doesnt have an army like Apple behind them. Don't forget we have Led Zeppelin's "DVD" boxset from 2003 at least for music performances.

@@MJEvermore853 I wouldnt say he's been exactly prolific over the last 40 years. One solo album in the 80's, two albums with The Firm, a short collaboration with David Coverdale in the 90's. working with Plant during their short reunion and thats about it other than working on LZ catalog stuff (album reissues). He hasnt exactly kept up with Plants pace or even Jones' for that matter. When he chooses a project, he doesnt stick with it very long.

The only thing I bought that was mentioned here was Mind Game with 1 extra outtake CD. Mind Games is not a great album, but it has about four songs I really like. It is worth it. As for the crap pushed on us by Yoko and Sean, it can be ignored, and the fact that Lennon's voice is higher in the mix and overall the record sounds fuller with more bass are major pluses. I did not know about Band on the Run re-release, but I got the former rerelease years ago and feel good with that. While I like many of the songs, and also like my version that adds Helen Wheels and Country Dreamer, I feel like there are also misses on the record -- which is typical of McCartney's solo career. And Paul's drum sound is not too inspiring.
