not sure how widely held this idea would be, but the click-baity title meant I took several days before relenting and watching. This was a way, way better video than the title suggested
@MichaelShainblum2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Craig, really glad you enjoyed it! Honestly I am the same way when it comes to watching videos. But the analytics/data suggests otherwise for my wider audience. Also with the way KZbin treats its recommended videos, unfortunately you might not have even seen this video pop up with a more basic title. Its a weird game that this platform encourages its creators to play. One that for a long time I wasn't willing to play and was penalized for it pretty heavily. The channel was stagnant and my subscribers said my videos were not even popping up in their feeds anymore. Again I am really glad you chose to watch the video anyways and am thrilled that you enjoyed it! :)

Beautiful cinematic footage. We tend to get pressured to focus on the wide angle grand landscapes in a place like Iceland because that's what we see others doing. It's nice that you've shown us the intimate wonders of Iceland in places one would seldom notice. I wouldn't have thought to photograph abstract details when I'm hyper focused on getting "the shot" that I previsualized, if you know what I mean. Exploration is so much more enjoyable with an open mind.

Spectacular drone work. The image @ 8:02 is my favorite still: I love something as solid as rock when it looks like its flowing in different directions. I enjoyed the creativity and different types of images you included here. What was on your buddy's back at 12:50? Looks like a gigantic mechanical insect. I'm guessing a serious drone?

Awesome work as always, Michael! I'm curious on why you choose longer shutter speed for some static shots (like rock formation) instead of taking a quick capture at a faster shutter speed and lower aperture
@MichaelShainblum2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Soham! So for those shots I am using the higher Fstops to achieve focus around the entire image, rather then have to focus stack images (which is my least favorite thing to do) hahaha
