Thank you for the basic education of lens filters. You have no idea how much unnecessary spending of money that you have saved me. For this, I adduce my profound gratitude to you.

Well explained, thanks for sharing! :) I bought the Hoya UV Filter last month and it's totally worth protecting the lenses! I'm happy with it!

Excellent description, tips, procedures, etc.! One thing that might help folks with maybe a 'practical' example is showing the "before and after" photographs with each of the filter you're showing. No worries, I get the description and usage, but I mean just so people can actually see it. I think a good idea for another video might be the gels or filters on flashes. I have never used them and would like to learn from you how you would use them or what you know about them, Mr. Michael. Thank you, again, for sharing your opinions and experience.

excuse my question, but when the mirror flips up there's no difference between a dslr and a mirrorless, so if we see an affect on dslr so must that occur in mirrorrless

I live in Southeast asia... It's very2 humid here, and it gets very dusty. I guess in my case I need the UV filter 24/7 😅

An Uv filter once saved my very expensive tele sense when I was shooting Handball. An idiot touched my front element with his fingers and in Handball we use resin so you can better hold the ball. you can't get that resin off anything without very strong solvents. The filter was trash but my sense was unharmed.

It looked like you were spinning he CP when looking at the beach scene. If you were using the A7, that may answer your question.

Hi Michael, so i shoot alot of videos. But. I need to use ND filtres, and some time i also need polarizer, when shooting lets say a car or into a window. What do i do here? And shoulden i just allways just use a polarizer, to get a better contrast the colors?
@MMaven6 жыл бұрын
StrandskovMedia u can use both at the same time. It really depends on what you are doing, but I don’t use polarizers for everything
@strandskovmedia46066 жыл бұрын

The reason I use uv filters is simply protecting my lens from damage.
